This 1-Year-Old Dog Was Misdiagnosed And It Turns Out He Was Stung By A Bee

A family recently lost their first dog of 13 years, and while they never thought they would overcome their grief, time healed all wounds, and time brought Ollie.
Ollie has filled the family’s lives with much joy, light, laughter, and comfort.
As Ollie seemed to have brought a touch of love during a dark time in the family’s life, they would soon experience a heartbreaking situation, leaving them anxious and fearful.
A few weeks ago, their sweet pup Ollie became ill. Worried, the family rushed him to the emergency room, where he was misdiagnosed with a perforated intestine.
Before they knew it, their biggest fear was upon them. Ollie was lying on death’s doorstep.
As it turns out, Ollie was experiencing Anaphylaxis Shock and was bleeding internally. All of this occurred from a bee sting.
Ollie is only a year-and-a-half and still has much light, love, and laughter to give the word, including his family.
Isabella Nunez has organized a fundraiser to help raise money as they continue fighting to save Ollie’s life.

“So far, we have bills adding up to over 10k, with more to come as he continues to heal,” said Isabella.
“No price is too large for our Ollie; we hope you can help us get to the amount we need to give our Ollie a chance.”
On June 29th, Isabella Nunez posted a positive update, informing us that Ollie was now off blood pressure medication.
The doctors struggled to keep his blood pressure consistent, making this a major development.
Post blood transfusion, Ollie’s blood count has remained the same for the most part.
Ollie now has more energy and has been very excited to see friends and family!
No surgery was needed during the healing process. However, Ollie has been in critical care for three days, leaving the family with a medical bill of $14,000.
As he continues his healing journey, the family hopes the medical expenses will not exceed $15,000. Despite the money aspect, Ollie has made his way into the family’s heart and home, making fighting to save their pup’s life their top priority, no matter the cost.
The family will continue to update us as they know more information. For now, their GoFundMe page is still running. So far, they have accumulated $3,752 with a goal of $15,000.
“He has brightened our lives in ways that words will never describe, and we hope he can live the full, fulfilling, and happy life we promised him the first day we met him as a little puppy,” said Isabella.
