Her Favorite Thanksgiving Side Dish Is Actually A Corn Casserole That Isn’t Too Hard To Whip Up

When you sit down for a Thanksgiving feast, of course, you expect to see a turkey smack dab in the center of the table.

Although the bird may be the star of the show, side dishes are what complete the whole meal, whether it’s mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, or casseroles.

They complement the turkey, and without them, Thanksgiving just wouldn’t be as exciting. Abigail (@abigail.step_) has a recipe for corn casserole on TikTok that anyone can whip up. No matter your level of cooking expertise, it’s impossible to mess this dish up.

It’s her favorite Thanksgiving side dish, and it doesn’t get much easier than this. Plus, this simple and versatile corn casserole doesn’t just have to be reserved for a holiday meal.

With its minimal steps and only a handful of ingredients, it’s also perfect for any ordinary weekday dinner.

Let’s get into the recipe!

-A can of cream-style sweet corn

-A box of Jiffy corn muffin mix

-1/2 cup of butter

-A block of cream cheese

Directions:

First, you’ll need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Secondly, pour a can of whole kernel corn, a can of cream-style sweet corn, and a box of Jiffy corn muffin mix into a baking dish.

Next, melt a half cup of butter and add it to the corn mixture. Then, put in a block of cream cheese and mix everything together. Finally, place it in the oven and let it bake for one hour. And that’s it! You’re done! Isn’t that the easiest recipe you’ve ever tried? All that’s left to do is enjoy it with turkey on Thanksgiving. It will definitely be a hit with the kids. Those who have tried corn casserole headed straight to TikTok to share their love for this side dish.

“I made this for my husband back when we were dating, and it’s a year-round staple for us now! We do sour cream, though,” commented one user.

“I make this on Thanksgiving and Christmas every year,” stated another.

“I only care about this dish for Thanksgiving,” wrote a third.
