So, his wife was really distraught that he essentially ignored her the entire time he was away; meanwhile, she “needed him.”
After he apologized that his wife’s sister had been in an accident, though, he decided to just be honest with his wife. He essentially told her that it was not his fault that she had “forced his hand” into cutting off all means of communication.
But, his wife was not satisfied with that response at all. Instead, she actually went to stay at her own friend’s house before he arrived home that Monday evening and has still been fuming ever since.
And now, with his wife still furious at him, he has been left wondering if turning off his phone and missing an actual emergency during his tech-free weekend actually makes him a jerk or not.
