She Claimed Her Sister Was Still A Gold Digger Even Though She Donates Money To Charity

This 34-year-old woman and her younger sister, who is 30, are both currently married. However, she claims that they could not be more different from each other.

While she and her husband both work blue-collar jobs, her sister is married to a wealthy businessman and leads a totally different lifestyle.

“I personally don’t feel comfortable relying on someone to do everything for me, and I’m independent,” she explained.

“My sister, on the other hand, relies on my brother-in-law for everything and doesn’t work at all.”

So, she and her sister have never really been close. But, this past week, her sister came into town for a charity event and wound up staying at her home.

Unfortunately, the visit was apparently bad from the start, too. She claimed that as soon as her sister arrived, she was on the receiving end of rude and judgemental comments about the way her household is run.

For instance, her sister pointed out how it was “sad” that her two sons were forced to share a bedroom; meanwhile, her husband was able to have an entire game room all for himself.

She took this comment very personally and tried to explain how her boys– who are only 4 and 2 – do not need fancy solo rooms right now. Plus, she detailed how her husband’s game room was actually half the size of a normal bedroom.

Still, this was not the only thing her sister made comments about. Apparently, her sister also questioned her husband about why he doesn’t cook or spend any time with the kids.

“After he just worked a 10-hour shift! Coming from a lady with a live-in nanny and a chef!” she added. “I was shocked and appalled by her attitude.”

Growing up, she recalled how she and her sister both came from an extremely poor household, too. That’s why she has such a hard time understanding why her sister is acting like they did not experience much worse as kids.

Regardless, after she learned that her sister was not just being rude to her but also to her husband, she decided to confront her sister the following morning.

During that conversation, though, her sister claimed to have only made any comments to her husband because it was clear that she did most of the work around the house– and that made her sister feel bad.

But, rather than appreciating her sister’s concern for her, she just clapped back and claimed her sister did not do anything at all.

“I told her she doesn’t work, she doesn’t watch her kids, she doesn’t clean or cook, all she does is shop and do charity events, and that my husband works more in a day’s shift than she has in years and to stop acting like she’s better than us,” she recalled. Yikes!

At that point, she claimed her sister burst into tears and began to “play the victim.” More specifically, her sister reiterated how the comments were only made in an attempt to stand up for her. After all, her sister did not want her to feel burnt out.

She just kept digging into her sister, though, and claiming that her brother-in-law probably wished someone would make sure he wasn’t burnt out– because, according to her, all her sister does is waste her brother-in-law’s money.

Now, after she said that, her sister’s tone apparently flipped. In fact, she thinks that was when her sister started to act “all high and mighty”– accusing her of just being jealous.

Her sister also pointed out how her brother-in-law’s money is not wasted. Instead, her sister donates the funds and works with many charitable organizations– meaning that she does have a job.

Regardless of her sister’s defense, though, she was not hearing any of it.

“I told her that her job is being a gold digger. Even if she does donate money, it’s not hers since she didn’t make it,” she recalled.

Her husband apparently overheard that comment, too, and started laughing. So, her sister wound up just storming out, blocking her on everything, and accusing her of being a total jerk to their family.

Her brother has since taken her sister’s side and agreed that she was in the wrong for judging her sister for not doing “real work.”

Quite frankly, though, she just cannot understand how her sister is not in the wrong since her sister was the one who insulted her and her husband in their own home.

Regardless, with both her sister and brother now angry at her, she’s been left wondering whether claiming her sister was a gold digger in spite of being philanthropic was warranted or not.

Do you think her sister made some good points about her husband never helping around the house or spending time with their sons? Does it seem like her sister was trying to be malicious or just look out for her? Was it necessary for her to come down so hard on her sister? How would you have reacted in this situation?
