Her Niece Posted A Photo Of Her Struggling To Get A Bridesmaid Dress On And Refused To Take It Down, Which Really Creeps Her Out

This woman recently attended a wedding for a family member and was in the bridal party. So, the morning before the ceremony, she got ready at her sister’s house along with some other loved ones.

But, it just so happened that her bridesmaid dress had a corset in the back and was very frustrating to get into.

That’s why her husband had to literally watch a how-to video in order to lend a hand and help her put the gown on properly.

Still, even with his help, the dress was a major hassle and took a long time to put on. Eventually, however, she was finally able to finish getting dressed, and the rest of the day went smoothly.

Following the wedding, though, she realized that her 19-year-old niece had posted an album of pictures from the wedding on Facebook. And the album contained a bunch of “getting ready” pictures from her sister’s home.

So, she began scrolling through to look at the images and realized one photo had been captured of her and her husband struggling with the dress.

“I would like to note here that my husband and I were in a private room when getting ready, and the photo had been taken through the window,” she revealed.

“And I had closed the curtains but clearly had left a gap that was enough for the photo.”

Unfortunately, she claimed the photo was not modest, either. Her husband’s hands could be seen under her dress while he tried to tie the corset ribbons and make sure nothing was twisted or knotted. Plus, while nothing could really be seen in the photo, her dress was hitched up.

So, she was immediately furious after realizing that image had been posted on Facebook and could not understand why her niece would put something like that on the internet.

That pushed her to confront her niece. But her niece claimed to have posted the photo for two reasons.

First, her niece pointed out how there were no other “getting ready” pictures that she was included in.

Second, her niece believed the image showed the bond she had with her husband while he was helping her out.

She didn’t care about those reasons, however, and told her niece that by taking that photo, her privacy had been invaded.

“I also compared her to a peeping Tom, which is when it turned into a full-blown argument, and my sister got involved,” she recalled.

Her sister was beyond angry that she resorted to name-calling. She also got told that her niece was not required to interact with anyone who behaved and argued like a child.

Finally, her sister said that since it was her niece’s personal social media account, her niece would do and post whatever she wanted.

Still, she wouldn’t budge and thinks that she has rights over any photos that contain her– even if it’s on her niece’s Facebook account. After all, the picture was taken and posted without her consent.

But, by that point, her sister was done with the conversation and told her that if she felt so violated, then she should take the issue up with the police. Afterward, her sister stormed off.

“I am not really sure where to go from here, but I just feel creeped out,” she vented. “And I feel involving the cops would be throwing fuel on the fire.”

So now, she’s been left wondering how to handle this situation without escalating any tension.

Can you understand why a photo of her and her husband like that being on Facebook made her uncomfortable? Would you ever leave a photo of someone else online if they were upset about it? Do you think that being 19 years old, her niece is old enough to do the right thing and apologize? If her niece doesn’t, what else can she do to get the photo removed?
