She Called Her Sister Out On Feeding Her Husband More Food Than Her Kids, And Then She Went To Get Them Fast Food Since They Didn’t Have Enough To Eat
The trending “almond mom” term has been making many people rehash how their parents affected their current relationship with food, whether it be a healthy or unhealthy relationship.
Hopefully, the discussion continues and creates awareness around how influential a parent can be regarding eating habits.
One woman angered her old-fashioned sister when she bought her nieces and nephews fast food because they didn’t get served enough food from their mom at dinnertime.
She’s 32-years-old and has a 34-year-old sister who is married with four kids ages 11 to 7.
Her sister’s family is quite different, as they live a very extreme life. Her sister is a diligent stay-at-home mom and housewife, while her brother-in-law works a 9 to 5.
“It is a very male-dominated and patriarchal lifestyle, and I try to respect that when I visit,” she explained.
Although she tries her best to go along with how her sister’s household works, sometimes, they do things that really bug her.
The other night, she was at her sister’s house for dinner. Her sister made a homemade pizza that was about the size of a large takeout chain restaurant pizza.
It did not look like enough to feed everyone comfortably, so she opted out of having any. Plus, she doesn’t think her sister is the best cook.

She figured her sister would do her best to divide the pizza evenly between her family of six, but no. She cut four slices and put them directly in front of her husband, then gave each of her kids one measly slice of pizza.
To make matters worse, her sister took bites from each child’s plate to feed herself throughout the meal.
“They were not allowed seconds because obviously there were none,” she recalled.
“Seeing this, I offered to drive into town and get them more food, to which my sister replied they didn’t need it.”
She became very upset seeing how little her nieces and nephews were being fed, especially because she knew her sister had previously experienced food issues.
She decided to call out her sister and said she didn’t understand why her husband gets to eat half a pizza on his own while the kids split the other half.
She also angrily asked her sister why she didn’t make more food for her kids.
Her sister claimed that she didn’t have enough time to cook more food, which she knows was a lie because she had spent that entire day with her sister and could’ve easily helped her in the kitchen if she knew she needed it.
“So, I decided to get in my car and bought all the kids Wendy’s and Frostys, and I didn’t bring any for her husband,” she said.
“This made my sister very angry.”
Her sister claimed she was trying to make things difficult for her, but she just wanted to ensure her nieces and nephews were fed.
Did she do the right thing by going against her sister’s wishes and getting her kids more food?
