For many years, this 30-year-old woman and her sister, 34, have enjoyed making plans for her sister's dream wedding before her sister was even in a relationship.

Eventually, her sister was dating her now-husband, and at one point, the three of them lived together.

While she lived with her sister and her sister's boyfriend, he told her that he was planning to propose, and he asked her for her blessing.

She gave him her blessing, and when he asked for her help to plan the proposal, she agreed.

Since she and her sister had talked so much about what her sister envisioned for her future proposal and wedding, she knew that the proposal had to be perfect.

Unfortunately, the pandemic derailed the plan she and her sister's boyfriend had, so they had to change course.

It even made the process difficult when her sister's boyfriend was trying to purchase an engagement ring.

"So, my brother-in-law planned a small, intimate proposal at home. I covered the majority of the expenses for the proposal since my brother-in-law bought the ring. I cleaned the entire house to stage it for the proposal that day. Set everything up very romantically, anticipating their arrival. The proposal was beyond perfect, and my sister said yes immediately. My sister quickly appointed me maid of honor for her wedding," she said.

Her sister choosing her to be the maid of honor angered a lot of her sister's friends, and it caused some drama.

A couple of years later, her sister was deep into wedding planning.

Her sister wanted to have a large wedding, with at least 200 guests, so she had to wait until COVID-19 restrictions were loosened.

Numerous times leading up to the wedding, she would call her sister to ask if she needed her to make any calls to vendors or if she needed help with anything else.

Each time she did this, her sister always said she didn't need anything because her friend Samantha was already helping her with the planning process.

Occasionally, her sister would ask her to do something that wasn't related to the wedding, but she would do what her sister asked to, making sure to follow up with her sister in 24 hours or less.

Despite always following through with her sister's requests, her sister never seemed to think what she did was good enough or did not respond to her at all.

On July 6th, her sister sent her and all of the bridesmaids a text reminding them to purchase their bridesmaid's dresses.

Her son's birthday was on July 9th, and because she wanted to give her undivided attention to her son on his special day, she planned to buy her dress right after his birthday.

The year before, her son was sick with COVID on his birthday, so she wanted his birthday this time around to make up for the previous year when he couldn't have a party.

Right after her son's party, she went online to purchase her dress, which she had in her cart. The dress was $378, but she realized that it was sold out.

She called the seller to ask when they would be restocking the dress, and she also inquired about other dresses. Her hope was that if the dress she was planning to buy wasn't going to be available in time for her sister's wedding, she could try to find something similar.

When she called her sister to tell her the dress sold out before she could purchase it, her sister hung up on her, which made her feel awful.

In the meantime, she continued to call the seller, with no luck finding out when the dress would be restocked.

Later, her sister sent her a text message to tell her that she would no longer be the maid of honor.

"Her exact words were: 'This was the last straw for me. I've repeatedly asked for help, and you're not available to me. I need someone who can be present on my special day, so I've appointed Samantha as my maid of honor. You can still be a bridesmaid. I still want you there on my day. Make sure you buy your dress, or I don't know what to tell you,'" she explained.

She was deeply offended by this text from her sister, and she pointed out that Samantha hadn't been friends with her sister for very long.

From her perspective, Samantha tries way too hard to suck up to her sister when their group of friends gets together and also focuses only on herself during conversations.

However, she's always made sure to keep her opinions about Samantha to herself, and she's even gone out of her way to say positive things about her. She's always been nice to Samantha whenever they were at the same event together.

During the bachelorette party trip, Samantha made a PowerPoint to tear everyone in the bridal party down for choosing this particular location for the trip.

Throughout the wedding planning process, Samantha demanded that her ideas be considered, even though all of the other bridesmaids had been friends with her sister for almost 20 years.

She was crushed when her sister told her that she was not going to be her maid of honor anymore.

"This is the day we talked about for years. The day you only get to share with your sister once. I didn't say anything negative. I said, 'Okay. I'll still be available if you need anything. I understand.' Ending the entire conversation with my sister. I cried on my husband's chest in disbelief. He begged me not to go to the wedding. But I'm not that type of person," she shared.

When the dress she needed was restocked, she paid for expedited shipping so that it would arrive in time for her sister's wedding.

She purchased airline tickets, rented a car, and booked a hotel room.

Once she traveled to the wedding location, she went to the venue on the day of the rehearsal.

She said hi to all of the other bridesmaids, and they all waited for her sister to give them directions.

While they were waiting, Samantha asked the venue coordinator questions, explaining that she needed to know details of what was happening since she was the maid of honor.

All of the bridesmaids heard this, and everyone was shocked and immediately turned to look at her.

They all asked her what happened because they thought she was her sister's maid of honor.

She just shrugged her shoulders and didn't give an answer.

On her sister's wedding day, she gave a beautiful speech discussing her and her sister's bond, as well as the special moments she shared with her brother-in-law.

Not long after her speech, she left the wedding without letting anyone know she was leaving.

When she got back to her hotel room, she switched her flight so that she could fly home the following morning.

After she got home, people tried to reach out to her, but she ignored them.

Ever since her sister's wedding, she has kept her distance.

What would you have done if you were in her shoes?
