He Caused His Wife To Miss Watching The Sunset On The Last Day Of Their Vacation, So She Wants A Divorce
This man and his wife took a trip to a tropical island recently, and for the most part, their trip was going smoothly. However, toward the end of their vacation, he got a painful sunburn all over his entire body.
Today was the last day of their trip, and when he asked his wife what she wanted to do, she told him that she was hoping to take a motorcycle to the southern part of the island and back to the hotel, which would be about 53 miles in total.
After getting sunburned, he was in a lot of pain, but he was excited about his wife’s idea for how to spend their last day on the island.
“She wanted to be back by 5:30 p.m.-ish to catch the sunset by a local beach near our stay,” he said.
During the day, he kept track of the time so they could make it back to the beach for the sunset. He told his wife that he planned to take a cold shower at their hotel to ease his sunburn. Along the way back, he found a restaurant for them to eat at, and once they got back to the hotel, they had some time to spare. So, he started taking a cold shower.
Ten or 15 minutes later, his wife started screaming at him to get out of the shower because the sun was already setting. He rushed out, drying himself off as fast as he could, slightly waddling as he ran outside due to the pain of his sunburn. When he looked, he realized the sun was setting quickly, and he could see the disappointment on his wife’s face.
“She suddenly said she didn’t want to see it anymore because we were going to miss it because of me. I told her there was still time,” he explained.
He and his wife bickered for five minutes until he convinced his wife to ride with him on the motorcycle to the other end of their resort to catch the sunset.
Unfortunately, he got lost. Since they’d rushed out of the hotel, he’d forgotten his phone and couldn’t look up directions. The street they road on to get to the beach was incredibly narrow, and they arrived about 20 or 30 minutes after leaving the hotel, just after the sunset.

Even though they missed the sunset, it was still a vibrant, beautiful sight. On the horizon were reflections of rainbow colors; a fishing boat was setting out into the water, and a beach house was within view.
“It was like watching an oil painting. I tried to sell her on the scenery, and all she had to say was, ‘I can see this at home.’ She followed that statement up with, ‘This is the worst day of my life,'” he shared.
His wife refused to ride on the motorcycle with him, screaming at him to go away, so he rode off and went back to the hotel.
Later, she came back to the hotel and told him that she would be filing for divorce, her reason being that he didn’t prioritize her.
While he acknowledged that he took a long shower, he’s confused about why his wife wants to divorce him over missing a sunset.
