His Girlfriend Confessed To Cheating On Him On Valentine’s Day, So He Kicked Her Out And Made Her Get An Uber Home

This guy was in a relationship, so this past Valentine’s Day, he obviously planned a date with his girlfriend.
It all began right after she got off work when he presented her with the typical Valentine’s Day flowers and chocolates gift. Then, he planned to take her out for dinner.
At first, his girlfriend seemed happy with the flowers and chocolate, too. But, by the middle of dinner, she started to seem kind of distracted.
He tried asking her what was wrong, but she just brushed it off and claimed she was “fine.” So, he tried not to think too much of it and figured she’d just had a long day at work. Plus, he thought he could cheer her up later on at home.
That’s why he just paid the dinner bill and drove them both back to his place. Once at home, they also started making out.
Right in the middle of their hook-up, though, his girlfriend stopped him and made a shocking confession.
“She had traveled home to spend the holidays– Christmas and New Year’s– with her family, and she told me that she had gone out to a New Year’s party and that she ended up cheating on me there,” he revealed.
He was completely caught off guard, and honestly, he thought she was just joking at first. However, he soon realized that his girlfriend was telling the truth, and he couldn’t help but feel seriously betrayed.
So, he actually told his girlfriend that their relationship was over right then and there. He also called her a jerk for waiting two whole months to tell him about the cheating just so she could use him for Valentine’s Day gifts. Finally, he told her to call an Uber and go home.

This caused his girlfriend to immediately burst into tears, and she kept claiming that she still loved him. She also swore that the cheating was just a mistake and she would never do it again.
“But I told her I don’t care. There’s no way I could ever trust her again after she betrayed me like that and that our relationship is now over,” he recalled.
Well, his girlfriend still didn’t get the hint and actually began screaming at him after that. Apparently, she thought that he was just “supposed” to forgive her because it was Valentine’s Day!
He couldn’t stand hearing it any longer, either, so he left her on the porch, slammed the door in her face, and made her wait outside for her Uber.
Now, ever since his Valentine’s Day got turned upside down, all of her friends won’t stop blowing up his phone and calling him a jerk for making his girlfriend ride home with a stranger.
“And that I wasn’t enough of a man to drive her home, that only creeps without girlfriends would be driving for Uber on Valentine’s Day, and that she could have been [harmed],” he added.
While he understands their worries, though, he believes that Uber is pretty safe.
“And I was so [ticked] off that there was a non-zero chance I would have driven into oncoming traffic if I had driven her home,” he vented.
Still, after getting berated by so many people, he’s been left wondering if forcing his girlfriend to get an Uber home on Valentine’s Day was really the wrong thing to do.
How would you feel if your partner waited months to come clean about cheating and did it on Valentine’s Day, of all days? Can you understand why he didn’t want to drive his girlfriend home after that? What would you have done?
