These Heart-Shaped Potatoes Can Be Cooked Right In Your Air Fryer, Making Them A Simple Way To Show Your Love On Valentine’s Day

Whether you’re a total sucker for Valentine’s Day or you view the holiday as a way for businesses to make money, there’s no denying that February 14 is a great opportunity to show your loved ones how much you care.
No matter who you’re celebrating—your family, friends, a new sweetheart, or a longtime partner—you can put that love into action by creating a meal you can share together from the comfort of your own home.
The desserts and the main course are the easiest parts to get down. The real challenge is figuring out what side dish to make. It can’t be too boring, but it also shouldn’t be too extravagant so as not to outshine the rest of the meal.
If you’re struggling to find the right balance, here’s the perfect scrumptious side dish recipe to help complete your romantic dinner.
In a video that has been viewed over five million times, TikToker and food blogger Gigi Madanipour (@gigimadanipour) is demonstrating how to make heart-shaped potatoes in the air fryer for Valentine’s Day.
Say goodbye to oven-baked potatoes that lack a satisfying signature crisp, and welcome this more appetizing alternative with open arms!
Start by peeling three large russet potatoes and slicing them into rounds. You can cut them as thick or as thin as you want. Each potato should yield about ten to fifteen slices. Next, use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to carve out hearts from all the potato slices.
Allow them to soak for thirty minutes in a bowl of cold water. Then, rinse them off and pat them dry. Finally, season the potatoes with half a teaspoon of salt, a quarter teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and half a teaspoon of garlic powder.
Toss a ratio of forty hearts with one tablespoon of olive oil. Air fry them at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for fifteen to eighteen minutes, resulting in potatoes that are fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

For potatoes on the thinner side, cook them for fifteen minutes. Thicker potatoes should be left in the air fryer for eighteen.
Use any leftover potatoes for a breakfast hash, or dice them into your soup!
@gigimadanipour ?Easy Valentines Day Air Fryer Potatoes? These cuties deserve to be made! Slice potatoes into rounds- you can go as thin or thick as you want as long as your cookie cutter can handle it 🙂 I used large russet potatoes and each one yielded anywhere from 10-15 slices. Use leftovers for potato hash or dice into your soup! I used three potatoes. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter that fits the width of your potato slice and cut out a heart. Let them soak for 30 minutes in cold water then rinse and Pat dry. Season with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning (or anything you fancy, Cajun would be good!) Toss with 1 tbsp olive oil (this worked for about 40 hearts) Air fry at 400 for 15-18 minutes. 15 for the thinner potatoes, 18 for thicker ones. Remove and enjoy!!
