Years After Moving Away From Her Hometown Following First Grade, She Believes That The Ghost Of Her Old Best Friend Blanca Came To Haunt Her And Watch Her At Night

When this woman was in first grade, she was friends with a girl named Blanca, who was a twin. She always found it funny and ironic that Blanca’s name was perfect for how she looked. Blanca was as pale as a white wall, and her dark brunette hair and blunt bangs were a sharp contrast.
Even though she considered Blanca a friend while they were children, Blanca hardly ever talked. One of the only times she recalled Blanca speaking was when she counted out a hundred pennies she had and was thrilled to have a dollar’s worth of pennies.
After first grade, she and her family moved away. It was 2000, so since no one in her family or Blanca’s family had cell phones, they didn’t keep in contact. Seven years later, while in middle school, she started experiencing a recurring nightmare.
“In this dream, I was sitting on a swing (one of those swings that’s just a piece of wood and some rope). I was facing a fence that had a hole in it. I could see a back door and a girl who looked like Blanca. She was exiting the house, and from behind her, a man stepped out and hurt her. I’d wake up at that point,” she said.
Since she was “edgy” as a child, she thought it would be fun to have a seance, and two of her cousins and her sister, joined in on the seance. They didn’t own an Ouija board, so they sat in a circle in her bedroom, lit candles, and her room was dark aside from the candlelight.
After chanting for a while, something blew out the candles out of nowhere, and they raced out of her room in terror. She was understandably too afraid to sleep in her bedroom that night and worried that her room was haunted, so she decided to sleep in the family room for about a week.
Once she began sleeping in her bedroom again, everything was normal at first, but eventually, she got the creepy feeling that someone was watching her while she was falling asleep.
Whenever she felt this way, she looked around her room and saw a girl resembling Blanca standing in the corner of her bedroom. Because she hadn’t seen Blanca since she was 6 years old, the girl resembling her was the version of Blanca she’d known from first grade.
“She would stand in the corner with her head down. One night, I asked, ‘What do you want?’ to which she simply looked at me. She looked miserable. But then, she just disappeared. Over the next year or so, I would also get the same feeling for a different reason. I would open my eyes one night to see a bunch of men in suits and top hats, just staring down at me in my bed,” she explained.

Whenever she saw these strange men and their expressionless faces as they stood around her bed, she shut her eyes tight and acted like she was asleep, terrified they’d do something if she stared at them too long.
Three years later, she and her family moved to a new home, and she shared a room with her younger sister.
“One night, as I was trying to sleep and my sister was already sound asleep in her bed across the room, I looked over to my sister’s bed. I saw the same girl. She was sitting on my sister’s bed. I was going to scream, but I couldn’t even breathe. I tried, but no sound would come out. Finally, when I did manage to breathe, she was gone,” she shared.
During this scary experience, her main concern was trying to breathe. After this encounter, she never saw the girl who looked like Blanca again. She searched through obituaries but never knew Blanca’s last name.
To this day, she doesn’t know what these paranormal experiences meant or who these people were, but she thinks the girl was Blanca’s ghost or spirit.
