For months, TikToker Sofia (@sofiaisla._) was best friends with a girl who had been lying about her age the whole time. She pretended to be 16 years old, but she was actually 19.
So, they met through mutual friends, and they started getting close. This girl looked to be the same age as Sofia and her friends. She even told them that she was 16.
Every time they went out together, she would always be under the influence. Sofia would have to bring her back home to take care of her. It eventually became really annoying.
She was also extremely touchy with Sofia in ways that she was uncomfortable with. But still, they were best friends. They hung out almost every day.
When Halloween came around, they dressed up as police officers. They went to another friend’s Halloween party, where she proceeded to kiss a 14-year-old boy. Furthermore, she was attempting to get with other people who were around 16 years old.
Later, at another friend’s birthday celebration, it came to light that she was actually 19. Sofia was confused because her best friend would come to her house wearing an international school uniform.
If she were 19, that would mean she had already graduated. Sofia began to get suspicious and asked around about her. Everyone told her that her best friend was 19.
One of Sofia’s other friends told her that she had found the girl’s college ID. It turned out that she had taken someone else’s uniform and was passing it off as her own.
“I confronted her about it,” stated Sofia. “I told her I think it’s disgusting how you’re getting with people and lying about your age. You literally kissed a 14-year-old and you knew that they were 14.”

She responded that it didn’t matter who she kissed because no one cared if you were 13 and over. Sofia stopped being friends with her because she felt totally betrayed. She was devastated because she thought she had found an actual best friend to confide in.
After a few months had passed, Sofia found herself really missing her. So, she texted her and apologized. She apologized as well, and from there, they were on good terms.
But then, when Sofia wasn’t around, she started flirting with Sofia’s boyfriend while under the influence and begged him to buy food for her.
Sofia confronted her about that, and she apologized. However, Sofia decided there was no point in being on good terms with her if she continued to cross boundaries. Of course, this led to the girl talking badly about Sofia behind her back.
“If y’all saw what this girl looked like, you guys would have believed that she was 16,” Sofia said.
“But now, she’s 20, still hanging around people my age and being irresponsible, letting 16-year-olds take care of her while under the influence.”
