For the past few years, TikToker Jayden (@.jayden___) has been working in customer service, and he has witnessed a few instances where customers have acted totally irrationally and angrily in public.
When he was about 17 years old and working as a host, a family came into the restaurant at around 11 p.m., which was normal because it closed at midnight.
There were two tables next to the door, but one of them was cleaned up for the night. Only two servers and the bartender were still working at that hour.
Jayden showed the family to their table, but the father wanted to sit at the table that wasn’t open. Jayden told him that the table was closed down for the night, and they had been using cleaning chemicals around that section, so he wasn’t allowed to sit there.
The father started arguing with him, saying that it was Jayden’s job to seat him wherever he wanted. His wife tried to say it was fine, but he yelled at her, causing her to flinch. The kids also looked terrified. The dad’s face was turning red, and his veins were popping out of his neck.
Jayden called his manager over from the host stand. A few seconds later, the dad approached him again and began calling him names for not letting him sit in the section he wanted.
Finally, the manager appeared and backed Jayden up. The dad calmed down and walked away, mumbling under his breath.
Jayden led the family to their table and put their silverware down. The mom and two kids sat down, but the dad was still by the other table, screaming about how he couldn’t sit there. He was extremely belligerent and didn’t seem to be in his right mind.
The mom was shaking, and her face was pale. Jayden felt awful for the family and wished he could call the cops on this guy. Eventually, he decided to leave and yelled at his family to get up. He continued yelling at the employees in the restaurant as he was walking out the door.

He also picked a fight with his wife on the way out. They argued outside for a few minutes. Then, she got in the car with their two kids and left him there.
He spent the next hour in the parking lot, screaming and shouting. After a while, someone came to pick him up. It was scary to think how he was going to act once he got home.
Several people in the comments section shared about their own interactions with individuals who couldn’t seem to control their anger.
“I’m a lifeguard, and I had a similar situation where we closed the pool because of nearby lightning, and this dad refused to believe us and stood by the door for two hours until we opened up again,” commented one person.
“Someone literally got out of their car and started punching my manager because he asked him not to cut the line,” wrote another.
“My stepdad was exactly like this growing up! Any time we went out to eat, it would always end with him screaming and yelling over nothing, and us kids and my mom sobbing!” exclaimed a third.
