On December 11, TikToker Kaitlyn Cook (@kaitlyn.cook98) was assaulted by her husband, and he was arrested for domestic violence. His arrest was how she found out that he had been cheating on her.
The next day, he was bailed out of jail. Kaitlyn received a protection order against him so that he would not be able to show up at the house randomly.
At court, he didn’t put up much of a fight, which was out of character for him. However, he did mention something about an amended police report. Kaitlyn later went down to the police station to pick up a copy of the report.
He had added some photos to the report, and in the background of one of the photos, she noticed some unmistakable detail, including a pink razor, a pink shampoo bottle, shaving cream, and vanilla-scented body wash.
Those were clear signs of a woman in his presence, and it was not her. The picture was not taken in her house or at his friend’s house, where he claimed he was staying after getting out of jail.
His brother, who was staying at Kaitlyn’s house, posted the photo on Facebook. The mystery unraveled quickly. An hour later, someone sent her a picture of the exact same bathroom.
It turned out that the bathroom belonged to the same girl who worked at the roofing company they used.
“So, I find out he’s living at this girl’s house, has been living there since he got out of jail, and the next day, on Christmas Eve, I find out that she’s pregnant with his child,” said Kaitlyn.
“I’m also pregnant with his child, which was planned.”

Looking back, she says the signs were there all along. Her husband frequently accused her of cheating on him and even told others the same lie, but he was the one doing the cheating this whole time.
Now, she recognizes it as projection. He tried to deflect his guilt by placing suspicion on her while having an affair behind her back.
He did the same thing to Kaitlyn as his ex-wife did to him, which makes his behavior even more senseless.
If he knew what it felt like to be cheated on, then why would he turn around and do the same thing to someone else? These are questions that must be asked, but will probably never be answered.
And that’s how an amended police report helped Kaitlyn bust her husband for infidelity. The moral of the story here is, don’t take pictures at your mistress’s house if you’re going to cheat on your wife and get arrested.
Now, Kaitlyn is focused on protecting herself, her family, and her future as she rebuilds her life after betrayal.
