Eleven years ago, TikToker Gigi’s (@gigi_zun) husband asked her for permission to see his mistress twice a month, or at least once a month. At the time, Gigi was pregnant with twins, and she was in the middle of soaking in a relaxing bath.
“It was the end of the night, and he actually said that he needed to talk to me about something,” Gigi recalled.
“He said to me that he was very happy, very excited that we’re having these twins, and he would never leave me. He loves our family, and he wanted to know if he could have my permission to go and see his mistress.”
When she asked why he felt this was necessary, he told her that he needed to have variety in his life and that this other woman would somehow benefit their family. Gigi sat in silence for a while, processing the audacity of the request.
After a long pause, she finally agreed to let her husband see his mistress once a month. He was shocked and had clearly not been expecting that answer.
However, she had one condition. She wanted him to wait six weeks until after the twins were born before he started seeing his mistress regularly.
In that time, her body would heal and recover from giving birth, and after that, she would pick someone to see once a month as well.
Of course, he freaked out and told her that she couldn’t do that because she was his wife. She pointed out the obvious flaw in his logic: he was her husband, so there was also no way he could freely go see his mistress.
He promised he would never leave her, but she declared that she would be the one to leave if he wasn’t willing to work with her. Sometimes, sharing just really isn’t caring.

The next day, Gigi went to her doctor’s appointment. She was sent to the hospital right away to deliver her babies. In a twist that still feels symbolic, they were born on the same day as her now ex-husband’s mistress’s son.
After about a week of being at home with her 10-day-old babies, her husband chose to see his mistress anyway. That was the final straw.
Gigi gathered all of his stuff, loaded it up, and dropped it off outside the mistress’s house.
Several TikTok users praised her for her strength and for keeping calm, cool, and collected. She chose herself and her children, as any good mother would do.
“You’re better than me because I’d keep him around until I can claim some life insurance,” stated one user.
“C-section, 10 days old, but energy to pack his stuff? I’m so proud of you momma!” exclaimed another.
“You are an amazing woman. Be the best version of yourself always!” chimed in a third.
