A couple of years ago, TikToker Nicole (@nicoleisthisme) and her sister, Sara, decided to take their dog on a walk in the woods. It was springtime, so the woods were alive again.
The woods went on for miles, so it was easy to get lost. There were a few different trails to follow, but Nicole and Sara went off the trail and followed their own path.
After an hour and a half, they were deep in the woods and had begun to realize they were lost. The GPS on their phones said it would take 45 minutes for them to get back to civilization.
They tried to follow the map, but it seemed to keep them circling back to the same spot. The area was also very wet and soggy.
Suddenly, they saw a girl walking toward them. She looked like she was from a different era and appeared to be around 18 or 19 years old.
Her face was very stern and serious, and she was wearing a long skirt. She was also carrying a wicker basket, which brought Little Red Riding Hood to mind. The closer she got, the more creeped out Nicole was.
The sisters burst into nervous laughter. They watched the girl to see what she would do. She laid out a blanket next to a muddy swamp and sat down. She stared at the water for a little while before uncovering her basket.
When Nicole peered through the trees, she saw that the basket was filled to the brim with green apples. They were in a darker area of the woods, so it was an odd place to have a solo picnic.
The sisters started laughing again over the strangeness of it all. The girl could see that they were laughing, but she had no reaction. She simply gave them a blank stare.

According to their map, Nicole and Sara needed to get to the other side of the muddy swamp. They skirted along the edge of the swamp and stepped across it.
Nicole got her shoe stuck in the mud, and it started sinking. Eventually, she managed to free her shoe and pull herself up. They walked fast and found their way out of the woods.
In the comments section, several TikTok users shared their own encounters with ghostly beings.
“My sense is she was from another world, different creation. I had a similar experience with a lady dressed like it was the 1800s. Sat down on the London tube, and she plucked a rose from her bag and handed it to me. Then disappeared off the train,” commented one user.
“I think it’s a ghost. I had a similar experience in a churchyard walking through with my dog. Saw a very old-fashioned man holding an old-fashioned lamp, like you would see in the olden days, with a bright yellow cape around his shoulders. I couldn’t get out quick enough. The only thing I can think of was it had to be a ghost,” shared another.
“Either a ghost or a time slip. The other evening, I walked past a man dressed very dapper, like Edwardian era. He was carrying a cane and wearing a bowler hat,” added a third.
