About a week ago, TikToker Serena Thompson (@serenarthompson) received a call from the secretary at her daughter's school.
The secretary informed her that a little boy in her daughter's kindergarten class put his hands around her neck and threw her to the ground.
There was another little boy involved as well. Both boys received in-school suspension. Of course, Serena immediately headed over to the school to figure out exactly what had happened.
Unfortunately, this also wasn't the first time a troubling incident like this had happened. Last time, the boy spat on her daughter and has been hitting her.
Once Serena got to the school, she was able to gather more details. Her daughter had actually been grabbed by the throat, slammed against the wall, and strangled.
"So, she told me that these little boys were in the bathroom," said Serena. "She was kind of by the bathroom, taking a sip of water at snack time, and these boys were whispering and conspiring about this."
"I want to meet with those parents. What is going to happen? This is not just your typical kids fighting. This is strangulation."
The severity of the attack deeply frightened Serena and her daughter. When they arrived home, they immediately began working on defense moves.
Serena has been teaching her daughter how to punch with a closed fist so she can protect herself if necessary.

Many TikTok users took to the comments section to discuss their concerns over how violent and aggressive behavior has been occurring at increasing rates among younger children.
"My daughter works in daycare. The amount of violence she stops and has to report...with young preschool children is crazy. I don't remember it being like that when she was young. I don't know if it is learned behavior from their parents or older siblings or just that the parents do not discipline or stop the behavior at home, but when she talks to the parents at pickup, they just don't seem to care until their own kids are hurt," wrote one user.
"As a kindergarten teacher and having been one for 28 years, I can tell you that these behaviors, unfortunately, are now becoming the norm. Parents do not teach their children rules. They don't enforce consequences. I contact parents about their children's behavior, and I either get ignored or asked what was done to them to make them behave that way. It's awful," commented another.
"That boy is seeing that behavior somewhere. Kindergarten kids don't just know to do that. Either it's being done to him, or he's seeing it happen to someone else. Not in any way condoning what he did. I hope your daughter is okay and isn't traumatized," added a third.
