Over 10 years ago, TikToker @ktina305 found out she was being cheated on in the most embarrassing way possible. At the time, she was three months postpartum and was staying at home with the baby while the father was at work. They lived in a duplex apartment next to a woman with two young kids.
The woman was always very sweet and friendly. They exchanged pleasantries whenever they ran into each other outside. Nothing about her behavior initially raised any red flags.
Then, one day, everything changed because of a dead phone battery. According to @ktina305, she realized her phone was completely drained of battery, and she could not find her charger.
She decided to walk next door and ask her neighbor if she could borrow an extra charger or use her phone to call her baby's father.
Immediately, something felt off. The neighbor seemed kind of jittery, almost as if she didn't want @ktina305 to use her phone. But after fumbling around for a moment, she handed the phone to @ktina305, and quickly shut the door behind her.
When @ktina305 began dialing the phone number, she saw that his number was already saved in the neighbor's phone. He answered the phone and sounded very excited. When he realized that it was @ktina305 calling, his tone became annoyed.
"I was hurt," said @ktina305. "I was so embarrassed because I didn't understand why his number was in her phone, and you know, your mind's spinning, and it was just bad."
After the call, she knocked on the neighbor's door, thanked her for letting her use the phone, and went back to her own house, trying to process what had just happened.
About 15 minutes later, the neighbor came knocking and started apologizing. She insisted that nothing inappropriate had happened and claimed they only talked occasionally. She swore she would never get involved with someone else's man.

Of course, by that point, @ktina305 did not trust her, but she wasn't in a position to defend herself. She felt trapped by her circumstances. After all, she was just trying to survive and take care of her three kids, one of them being only three months old.
They had a 13-month lease, so she had to live beside the neighbor for six more months after discovering the betrayal. Looking back now, @ktina305 says the experience taught her an important lesson about self-worth and relationships.
"Never put yourself second in a relationship because I promise most of the time the other person will not do the same for you," she advised.
"Know your worth and just know that you deserve the best. You don't deserve to be embarrassed. You don't deserve to be lied to, manipulated, none of that."
@ktina305 even me talking about this brings back all the feelings 😒😔😫😭 talk about being embarrassed...and the disrespect! the neighbor? ...really? he couldn't seek elsewhere?! #embarassingmoment #cheaters #fffyyypppp #knowyourworth
