She Heard Crying In The Woods Near Her House And Woke Up One Night To A Smiling Woman Standing At The End Of Her Bed

Some people grow up scared of imaginary monsters under the bed or the spooky noises the wind makes when it blows. But every now and then, someone has such a deeply unsettling experience in the dark of night that it leads you to question whether some places really do have something more sinister lurking in the shadows.

TikToker Jordan (@confessionswithjordan) is sharing a scary story from someone named Elizabeth. According to Elizabeth, what happened to her one night in a remote house deep in the woods has haunted her ever since.

Four years ago, Elizabeth lived deep in the woods right outside of a small farm town. The woods had a reputation among the locals for being haunted.

She slept alone in her room in a lofted bed. At night, she would regularly see shadows moving around and hear crying in the woods.

Her fear kept her up all night, causing her to develop insomnia. One night, in particular, she was feeling very off and extra uncomfortable.

Around three in the morning, she saw movement at the end of her bed, which was odd because she was 10 feet off the ground on her lofted bed.

The only light in her room came from the faint glow of her lava lamp. The soft light illuminated a frightening sight. She saw a tall, slender woman peeking at her from the end of the bed, through the rails by her feet.

She had long, unwashed hair, pale skin, and massive eyes. The eyes were about the size of a hand. She was also grinning creepily from ear to ear.

Elizabeth was so terrified that she started crying. She couldn't believe what she was seeing and tried to convince herself that she was having a nightmare or possibly hallucinating from a lack of sleep. But of course, she wasn't. The figure remained there, staring directly at her.

"What happened next will burn in my memory for the rest of my life," narrated Jordan.

"First, she waved at me. Then, she tilted her head and sat perfectly still until suddenly, she grabbed onto my ankle through the rails."

Panicked, Elizabeth yanked her leg away and dove under the safety of her blanket, sobbing uncontrollably. She stayed hidden for a while, too terrified to move a muscle or even to take a breath.

Eventually, she forced herself to peek out from under the covers. The woman was gone, which was a huge relief. She hoped the woman would never make a reappearance.

To this day, Elizabeth still doesn't know exactly what she saw that night. Her story taps into one of humanity's oldest fears: waking up in the middle of the night and realizing that you might not be alone.
