If you found out that your new spouse cheated on you just weeks after getting married to them, would you be interested in leaving them?
Less than a month ago, this 27-year-old woman got married to her 26-year-old husband. A couple of months before their wedding day, they had a few rough patches, but after saying, "I do," everything has been incredible between them.
She's never felt so in love and in tune with another man, but earlier this week, she had her husband's phone and had a gut feeling to look through it, which is something she never experienced before.
She did end up digging and uncovered 6 to 7 recently deleted text threads with various woman dated three months prior to their wedding.
"In these threads, he’s heavily flirting, making plans to see them, etc. When I confronted him about it, he said nothing ever happened, and that’s as far as it went," she explained.
"However, I took pictures on my phone of the contacts and called some of the women (pathetic, I know). Most of the women confirmed that they had never actually met in person but that he was heavily flirtatious and never mentioned having a fiancée."
"But one of the women says they had a [physical] encounter. He adamantly swears that they did not [sleep together] and that they got all the way to [taking off their clothes] but did not actually follow through because he could not..."
When she called her husband out for cheating, he wasn't regretful at all. She questioned her husband about why he didn't have any remorse, and he replied that it happened so many months ago that he had already repented and spent time feeling bad, so it was behind him.
Her husband promised to never cheat on her again and stated he was terrified of losing her, which is why he hid the cheating from her.

He then blamed their rough patches as his reason for cheating in the first place. She's devastated. She is aware her husband is lying about how far he went with that one woman, but she has no way of proving it.
"I do not know what to do. On one hand, I promised myself I would never ever be the kind of woman that allows a man to cheat on her and come back from it, and I feel so pathetic for even considering making up with him," she continued.
"On the other hand, I have never ever felt this loved and seen by another person. I have never felt so connected to another person; I truly feel (felt?) like he was the love of my life. And if I’m being honest, I don’t know if I’ll ever find someone else who I’ll love this much."
"My family absolutely adores him, and we are so intertwined in each other’s lives. I’d also have to deal with the embarrassment of getting a divorce only a month after being married. Do I throw away a marriage for what seems to be a mistake? Do I cut my losses and move on?"
I'm rolling my eyes at her husband saying he repented and already felt bad for what he did, because there's no way. Her husband doesn't feel sorry at all and will unquestionably cheat again, especially since he justified it by blaming their rough patches.
She needs to make it clear that his actions have consequences and file for divorce or get an annulment. Also, I'm worried she's trying to make things with her husband seem better than they are because if their relationship was so wonderful, she never would have gone through his phone.
What advice do you have for her?
