She Was Just Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances On The Exact Same Property Her Sister-In-Law Was Burned And Murdered On
Water Valley, Mississippi. In December of last year, Kristina Michelle Jones was found the day after Christmas burned and murdered in her home.
Kristina’s house had been set on fire, and the blackened and seared remains of where she lived still sit there on the property.
40-year-old Ashley Henley, whose husband Brandon Henley was Kristina’s brother, began looking into her sister-in-law’s death.
She was very public about what was disclosed to the family by authorities and what was going on with the investigation.

Brandon also wasn’t quiet about what was going on with his sister’s case, even calling out the Yalobusha County Sheriff’s Department for refusing to “address what happened” with Kristina’s murder.

On May 20th, Brandon took to Facebook to share an update on where they were with his sister’s case.

“The Preliminary Toxicology Report is now complete. However, it is not being released to our family at this time and will not be released until all pending law enforcement investigations are closed,” he wrote.
“This news is both rejoicefully welcomed and bittersweet; as it has now been five months since this incident and we still do not even know how my sister died.”

Just 4 days after Brandon shared that on social media, Ashley posted a copy of Kristina’s death certificate.
She expressing outrage that it took 5 months to get it back and that Kristina’s cause of death was listed as unknown, while her manner of death was written in as undetermined.
Ashley and Brandon were clearly no closer to getting the answers they so desperately wanted in bringing justice for Kristina.
“You may think this is over and your job is done, but you are mistaken,” Ashley wrote. “This is only the beginning. I will leave no stone unturned in my pursuit of truth.”
Less than a month after Ashley shared this, she would be dead, found shot on the same property her sister-in-law had died on.

On June 13th, a Sunday, Ashley went to Kristina’s property to clear out some of the weeds that had been growing there.
While Ashley was busy trying to spruce things up, someone approached her from behind, shooting her in the back of her head.

Many people in the community are left wondering if Ashley was murdered to keep her silent and prevent her from digging deeper into what happened to Kristina.
So far, authorities have said nothing about Ashley’s death.
