She Ditched Her Maid Of Honor Right Before Her Wedding Over Some Pretty Spoiled Behavior
We all know brides can go off the deep end leading up to their big day, but it’s rarer to hear about the maid of honor in a wedding acting like, well, a bridezilla.
One poor 27-year-old bride-to-be ended up ditching her maid of honor right before her wedding over some pretty spoiled behavior that sounds more fitting of an entitled bride than a maid of honor.
This bride-to-be originally planned on having two bridesmaids and her one maid of honor, but she wound up having just her two bridesmaids standing up with her on her wedding day.
Just a few months before she tied the knot, she had no choice but to part ways with her maid of honor and pare down her wedding party.
Her maid of honor, Tara, has been her friend for close to a decade; 8 years to be exact.
Tara has always been the queen of the spotlight, and their friendship has worked out well since she doesn’t mind not being the center of attention.
She was aware that Tara was somewhat “spoiled” all along but being that she is also self-assured and outgoing, those other positive qualities made up for that.
Anyway, as soon as her boyfriend presented her with an engagement ring, she wasted no time extending an invite to Tara to be her maid of honor at her wedding.
Tara was elated to be given this position, and together, they arranged for Tara to get on a plane and travel to where she lives so they could shop for dresses with the other two women she invited to be bridesmaids.

“Red flag, but when Tara arrived to stay with me, she asked what I made for dinner. I said, “you know I don’t cook” but she was very unpleasant and put out that I was not hosting her properly,” she explained.
“The next day, we did brunch with my flower girl (my daughter) and bridesmaids at this cute tea shop. She refused to interact with anyone, even after I paid for everyone’s food. She ignored my little daughter’s attempts to talk and asked when we could leave.”
“Our plans were to go to the dress shop, which I reminded her, but she said she didn’t feel well. So I said okay, we will send pics.”
Tara went back to her house, and she continued on to go shopping for dresses. She reached out to Tara several times while they were shopping to get Tara’s feedback on dresses.
Tara completely ignored her, and when she arrived home, Tara was sitting there tuned into a horror flick and snacking on chips.
She tried talking to Tara, who told her immediately to be quiet because she was watching her movie. The movie ended, Tara began another one and clicked the sound up louder so nobody could speak to her.
Tara kept on telling everyone to keep quiet while she didn’t take her eyes away from her second movie.
This bride-to-be felt that Tara was nothing but “rude” and “demanding” for the rest of the evening following that incident.
The day after, this bride-to-be ended up having a full-blown panic attack, while Tara left because “she was not being hosted properly.”
Tara accused her of making her feel completely anxiety-ridden, but this bride-to-be has been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and it wasn’t really fair of Tara to throw that in her face as a reason to leave.
After Tara up and left town, she reached out to Tara to say that maybe it was time to think twice about agreeing to be the maid of honor.
Since Tara was already feeling too much pressure and stress, she let Tara know that it was fine for her to just be at the wedding without being in it.
Tara kept badgering her about the real reason why she thought maybe it was time for Tara to reconsider being in her wedding.
“Finally, I said, “If you are causing this much trouble now, I don’t want you around me on my wedding day,” she continued.
“You are being selfish and spoiled, and if no one has told you yet- it’s like being around an entitled child. You need to change that.” She still came to the wedding, glaring daggers and dropping mean comments.”
When her wedding was over, Tara phoned her up every single week thereafter without fail to make sure she knew that she “ruined” the wedding. Funny, considering it wasn’t even Tara’s wedding.
She eventually had enough of Tara’s antics, and she made it clear to Tara that she was done continuing the conversation.
