This woman and her boyfriend have been in a relationship for four years. And throughout that time, he was her best friend and a “good human being” who never really made any mistakes.

That’s why she always felt very secure in their relationship, and neither of them ever felt the need to snoop on each other’s phones.

But, just recently, she borrowed her boyfriend’s laptop to attend an online interview after her computer stopped working.

And while she was on the device, she realized that her boyfriend was still logged into most of his social media accounts.

Now, at the time, she really did not want to pry. Eventually, though, curiosity killed the cat, and she decided to take a peek at her boyfriend’s Instagram and WhatsApp.

She found out that her boyfriend had been participating in steamy video calls with one woman and talking inappropriately with another.

On top of that, she also learned that he had made out with a third girl, who he claimed was just a friend.

So, she was obviously heartbroken but also simply could not believe that her boyfriend would do that to her.

She then decided to confide in one friend of hers to talk about everything she found out. And eventually, the news of her boyfriend’s infidelity spread like wildfire.

Apparently, she went to college with her boyfriend– so they both were part of a huge friend group. For the most part, he had a good reputation among their friends, too. However, there were a few people who did not exactly like her boyfriend.

That’s why, after she told her friend about her boyfriend’s cheating, her friend was shocked and wound up telling everyone else in their social circle. So, her entire friend group has been isolating her boyfriend ever since.

This has obviously left him feeling pretty lonely. Plus, he even wants to try and win her back– which she claimed is never going to happen.

“But the people who didn’t like him are spreading stuff about him to everyone they know, and it’s affecting his mental health, and I can’t help but blame myself for putting him in that position,” she revealed.

Since the news came out, her boyfriend has called her crying on occasion. Other times, he has called her up, cursed her out, and accused her of ruining his life.

And she realizes that, aside from the cheating, her boyfriend was a very good friend to her. So, she’s torn about the situation and the fact that it is negatively impacting him so much among their friends.

“They were all his friends first, and I thought they would all stand by him,” she explained.

“But everyone just ended up isolating him.”

As for why she even told her friend the reason for her break up in the first place, she detailed how, where she is from, women are almost always blamed when relationships end.

And after what her boyfriend did, she was not okay with taking the blame when she did absolutely nothing wrong.

“But now I feel like I am in a murkier situation, and it’s really hurtful to see him in that situation,” she vented.

That’s why, ever since she spilled the beans about her boyfriend cheating, she’s been left wondering whether exposing him was the wrong thing to do when she could have just kept the reason for their breakup private.

Is it her fault that her boyfriend got isolated from his friend group? Or is he just dealing with the consequences of his own actions? Should she feel guilty about exposing him after what he did? How would you have handled this situation?
