His Wife Is Completely Jealous Of His Pretty Secretary And Even Acts Very Hateful Towards Her

This 39-year-old guy has a 38-year-old wife named Susan, and they have been in a relationship ever since they were in the early part of their 20s.
He and Susan grew up lower-class, but that only inspired him to want to do even better for his own family. He and Susan do have 2 daughters, who are 10 and 3, and they really inspire him to be successful.
He never attended college, but he did create his own company when he was pretty young. Over the past 20 years, he really has been able to grow it nicely.
“I met Susan soon after things started taking off, and she’s always been incredibly supportive of everything I do and how much work I put into it, even when that meant I had to put in long hours and wasn’t able to see the kids as much as I wanted to during difficult times,” he explained.
“Thanks to that, I’ve been able to grow it into quite a successful business. We’re not super rich, but we’re doing very well, especially considering where we came from.”
Susan did have a job initially, but now she’s a stay-at-home mom. He’s supportive of Susan choosing that path, but he also would be alright with her getting a job if she wanted that.
Anyway, he has a great marriage with Susan, and he’s still very in love with her. Unfortunately, there is a problem in their marriage, and it’s his 22-year-old secretary named Kate.
He hired Kate a bit under a year ago after he figured that he could use some help last summer. Kate applied to work for him right out of college, and she seemed to be even more qualified than he expected.
Kate is intelligent, diligent, wonderful with people, and has an upbeat personality. Kate turned into the best decision he has ever made at his company.

“However, she is also incredibly attractive, and that is where many of the issues arise,” he said.
“I would never think about trying to do anything with her because I love my wife and am 100% loyal to her, but I can’t deny that Kate is an extremely attractive young woman—it’s something that everyone notices about her almost immediately, and I’ve heard others in the company comment on it as well (in a respectful way; I don’t tolerate any sort of…harassment here).”
“It’s simply a fact of life that she is one of those people who is very attractive and puts a lot of thought into her clothes, makeup, workouts, etc. I believe she even did some sort of modeling at some point, though I don’t know the specifics.”
Susan never indicated that she was uncomfortable with him hiring a young woman to work as his secretary, but then Susan got to meet Kate at his company’s holiday party.
As soon as Susan laid eyes on Kate, she was shocked. And since that party, Susan has really struggled.
It began with Susan making nasty comments any time he would talk about Kate. Next, Susan moved on to wanting to know if Kate would be at any of his work events before making a mean remark about Kate.
Then, any time he came home later than expected from work, Susan would question him if Kate had been working late at the office too.
He finally confronted Susan and asked her if she believed something was going on between him and Kate, but she said that wasn’t it.
Now, he would never, ever cheat on Susan, and his connection with Kate is nothing outside of professional. Kate has never crossed a line with him, and he has always been respectful of her too.
“…Even with my reassurances, Susan doesn’t seem to be put at ease,” he continued. “The one company event that Susan did go to recently, she was extremely rude to Kate and almost made a scene.”
“I think she’s being totally unreasonable. We’ve been arguing A LOT more recently, and she’s basically told me to fire Kate without saying it directly. She’ll say stuff like, “You care about Kate more than you care about me and the kids.”
This isn’t true at all, and it’s just becoming more and more obvious that Susan is extremely jealous of Kate to the point where Susan is being nothing but hateful toward Kate.
He’s at a loss regarding what he should do to handle this and calm Susan down.
“I can’t prove to my wife that I’m not cheating, and she says she believes me anyway but is still mad,” he added.
“And, of course, I can’t fire Kate over this. I feel totally lost. What should I do? How can I fix this without being unfair to Kate?”
