His Son’s College Sports Team Sold Steamy Calendars To Raise Money For Charity, But While He’s Proud of The Team’s Ingenuity, His Wife Is Devastated

This 45-year-old guy has a son named Cole, who is currently a freshman college athlete. So, right now, his son has been getting a head start on training.

Cole’s sports team also happened to hear about a British college rowing team that puts together a steamy calendar of all their teammates in order to raise money.

This calendar trend has even become pretty famous. That’s why his son’s team got together and ultimately decided to do the same thing.

According to him, the calendar featured “A+ photography,” had very high-quality printing, and was overall a “slick” product.

Since releasing the calendars, they have even sold extremely well on campus, too.

“At this point, it’s going to be on pretty much every girl’s dorm wall– and some guys’ walls as well. They’ve made decent money to help fund the team, but most donated to a children’s cancer charity, which is pretty amazing,” he explained.

He and his wife, however, had no clue about the calendar until Cole visited home and proudly showed off his feature in it– which was for the month of May.

At that point, he detailed how his wife almost had a stroke and started weeping, wailing, and hyperventilating.

She claimed to be “too mortified for words” and couldn’t believe that a ton of college girls would have a photo of “her baby” on their walls. Not to mention, his wife was also concerned about what her friends would think of the calendar.

Yet, he honestly thinks his wife’s reaction was completely ridiculous. He believes the calendar was not worth getting worked up over since, first of all, the entire team is technically adults. Secondly, he is proud of the boys’ confidence and creativity.

“And to give the money to charity… amazing,” he said.

“I told my wife that she should lighten up. If I looked as good as he did at that age and had been as handsome and tan and fit, I would have done it, too.”

For further clarification, the calendar also does not show anything. Yes, it is steamy and toes the line. But thanks to the boys’ posing and prop placement, nothing is exposed.

He also pointed out how the boys created this calendar with the intention of wanting it to sell. So, he really thinks it’s fine.

Still, his wife totally disagrees and insists that he needs to “do something” about the calendar. And he has no clue how he’s supposed to do that since the deed was already done.

He told his wife that, too, but she just kept pushing– telling him to get the calendars back. They both know that is impossible, though, so his wife ultimately resorted to wanting to punish their son.

However, he didn’t want to do that. Plus, how would they even punish their college-aged son?

Anyway, his pushback on his wife’s ideas only made her more hysterical. Since she found out about the calendar, she hasn’t even been speaking to him!

His wife has accused him of being unsupportive. On top of that, she is apparently “too ashamed” to show her face to her friends.

Regardless, he doesn’t think his wife’s friends would even care about a calendar created by college boys living 600 miles away.

“And for what it’s worth, Cole’s girlfriend is totally on board with it,” he added.

“But my wife called me a [jerk] for not taking her side.”

That’s why he’s now been left wondering whether being unable to view the situation from his wife’s perspective and empathize with her feelings really does make him a jerk or not.

Can you understand why his wife might have been upset after seeing the calendar? Even so, was her reaction appropriate? Would you be proud of your son if he did the same thing to raise money for a charity or not?
