This woman’s brother-in-law and his wife, Stacy, have been together for more than a decade and have two children.

“About two months ago, Stacy came to my place and told me that her husband wants an open marriage,” she said.

Stacy was in absolute hysterics and asked for advice, so she shared her opinion on the idea of open marriages.

She believes that when a couple marries, they agree to commit to one another and that people who have no desire to be faithful to their partners shouldn’t be getting married in the first place. In her view, open marriages were no different than partners having affairs.

“I told her that I am pretty sure her husband is already cheating on her, and I would really advise that she leaves him,” she explained.

That night, she and her husband were discussing what Stacy had told her, and he agreed that she had given her good advice.

He thought it would be best for Stacy to file for divorce, and he said that they could do whatever she needed to support her through the process.

Recently, Stacy took her advice about filing for divorce and requested full custody of her and her soon-to-be ex-husband’s children.

“My brother-in-law was an absent parent, so bad that he probably doesn’t even know when his kids’ birthdays are,” she shared.

When Stacy asked if she could stand in as her witness, she happily accepted and took her side for divorce proceedings.

Even though the divorce wasn’t a shock for the rest of the family, that didn’t stop in-laws from name-calling her and bombarding her with harassment. Her in-laws said that it was her fault that Stacy and her spouse were getting a divorce.

Predictably, her husband took her side throughout the drama, and because of this, her in-laws claimed that she was a “witch” who “enchanted” her husband into siding with her instead of his family. Unfortunately, her mother-in-law has continued harassing her, swearing at her all morning.

Then, at night, her brother-in-law calls her, begging her to persuade Stacy to call off the divorce and move back in with him.

Her brother-in-law also believes that it’s her fault Stacy filed for divorce, so he thinks she should be the one to convince Stacy to change her mind.

What advice would you give her?
