Her Boyfriend Freaked Out About Her Getting Her Braces Off, And She Thinks He’s Being Creepy
For a year now, this 19-year-old girl has been dating her 28-year-old boyfriend, and she says he’s pretty wonderful.
She has sadly encountered a lot of struggles so far in her life, so she’s pretty mature for her age, as she was forced to grow up quickly. She credits that for making the age gap between her and her boyfriend less of a challenge.
Throughout the entire time she has been with her boyfriend, she has had braces, and she hates them.
Her boyfriend has told her that he finds her braces cute, which really made her feel so much better, as she’s extremely insecure about having to have them on her teeth in the first place.
“However, recently, I told him that it was almost time for me to get them taken off, and he acted weird,” she explained.
“He asked me to keep them on for longer. I told him there’s no reason to have braces on longer than I need to, but he was adamant that I should keep them because they ‘suit me.'”
He ended up freaking out about her getting her braces off, and the whole incident left her feeling confused.
She literally does not need to wear her braces anymore, so there’s no point in her keeping them on her teeth.
She also feels disturbed and concerned that her boyfriend is insisting that she remain in braces. She believes her boyfriend wants her to have them so she appears younger than she truly is.

“It seems borderline creepy for him to want me to keep them, especially as I’m an adult and can’t wait to get them off so I look more mature,” she said.
She’s wondering if her boyfriend acting like this over braces is a red flag or not. This has left her questioning their relationship and whether or not she should continue.
