Years ago, TikToker Deb's (@dvance13) mom had bladder cancer twice. Recently, she had been getting urinary tract infections (UTIs) pretty often, so Deb decided to take her to the urologist.

Her 84-year-old mom had been seeing this urologist for seven years. He has always been kind and gentle, but the last time she visited him, he wasn't very nice to her, so she was a little nervous.

Deb didn't believe her at first. But when the urologist angrily interrupted her mother as she was trying to explain the reason for her visit, Deb butted in and told the urologist to let her speak.

The urologist questioned how they knew Deb's mother was getting UTIs and stated that it could just be "old people bacteria." Deb told him that her mom had been going to her regular physician, who tested her and gave her antibiotics.

The urologist kept marking papers in a seemingly frazzled state. Then, he stopped and pulled his hair. Deb thought he was on the verge of a breakdown.

She and her mother looked at each other in confusion. Her mom's lip was quivering, and she was about ready to cry. The urologist kept asking how they knew she was having UTIs.

Again, Deb explained that she went to her regular physician. He continued scribbling on the papers more aggressively and yelled some more questions at them. His face turned beet red every time they said something he didn't like.

Finally, they left without the doctor examining her mother. All he did was prescribe her pills that cost $489 a month, which she could not afford.

The only thing they got out of the visit was that Deb's mom was supposed to come in for a cystoscopy in October.

Many TikTok users took to the comments section to tell Deb that the doctor's appointment was not normal and that the urologist's behavior needed to be reported.

"I would definitely speak up because it sounds like he has dementia. It could explain his inability to recall proper medical terms, handwriting, and agitation. Especially since it's apparently out of character. He shouldn't be practicing anymore," commented one user.

"Report him to patient affairs and demand she not be charged for the appointment and request another physician," advised another.

"I would call and speak to the practice manager. It's possible that you might be the final straw in terms of the number of complaints," suggested a third.
