She Found Out That Her Fiancé Was Institutionalized For Terrorizing His Sister And Locking Her In Dog Kennels

About eight years ago, TikToker Mandi Stapleton (@mandistapleton.mua) was engaged to a guy who was fighting a lot of demons.

She knew this going into the relationship. He was in the military and specialized in psychological operations, so she assumed the job took a toll on his mental health.

At the time, she was 21 years old, and he was 28. When they got engaged, he started telling her about his tumultuous childhood. His father was in the circus and was attacked by a tiger.

There was video footage of the tiger biting off a chunk of his dad's stomach. So, his dad became addicted to pain pills. His mom worked at a gas station and was an alcoholic.

They began living with his mother, and she dropped some strange lore about her fiancé. She kept talking about how nice it was for her to love him even after all the bad things he had done.

So, Mandi started wondering what all these bad things were, especially since she left her child with him and his uncle while she went to work.

One day, she took his mom to work, and she told her a secret about him. When he was 16 years old, he was kicked out of the house for assaulting his little sister and locking her in dog kennels.

Mandi was absolutely terrified and went straight to his sister for confirmation. The sister lived in the same subdivision.

She did not believe his mom was telling the truth at first. She thought his mom was just trying to get them to call off their engagement.

But the sister's face went pale after realizing that Mandi knew about the assault. She pulled out some documents that showed what he had done to her.

It turned out that it was way more brutal than just being assaulted and put in dog kennels. He was locked up and institutionalized for what he did. In his early 20s, he was able to join the military.

Mandi brought it up to him, and he tried to tell her that he was just a 16-year-old kid who was acting out. However, she decided it was best if they split up.

In an attempt to get her back, he told her that all his behavior had stemmed from his uncle, who had brutally assaulted him for the first decade of his life. Additionally, he sent her videos of him doing seances to get her to fall in love with him forever.

Later, Mandi found out from her ex-fiancé's ex-wife that their son had also been assaulted by the uncle. Her ex-fiancé and his sister were also still sleeping together.

So, Mandi was glad that she escaped from this messed-up family. Now, she has been happily married for five years to someone with no siblings or family drama.
