If karma had a sense of humor, it would look like this. TikToker Riss (@riss.net) found her now ex-boyfriend wheezing on her bathroom floor, having a “medical emergency,” because she caught him cheating.
She recorded him and posted it to TikTok, where over 52 million people witnessed his act. The video has since been deleted.
In a series of other videos, she told the story of how she met her ex. Before she started dating her ex, she went out to dinner with a guy named Greg one night. Nothing ever happened between her and Greg.
Months later, she met her ex. In the beginning, it didn’t seem like he was really trying to date her, so she didn’t take their relationship too seriously. But after four to six months, something changed.
They started to hang out every single day and were together all the time. She originally liked him because he was tall, successful, and confident. As their relationship began to progress, he became more and more controlling.
“In the beginning, it would be little jokes and stuff about what I’m wearing, but by the end of our relationship, I had to ask this man for every single drink that I drank,” Riss recalled.
She stopped going out with her friends and was forced to delete her bikini pictures on social media. He also had her location, but she didn’t have his.
One day, she noticed that the messages on his phone were locked. When she asked him about it, he explained that his friend with a baby had his messages locked, and he thought it was a good idea.
Riss thought that was a terrible excuse, especially since he didn’t even have a baby of his own. Furthermore, he would often twist situations around to make everything her fault somehow.

For example, on Valentine’s Day, a bouquet of flowers was delivered to her door. She thanked him for the flowers, but he said that those flowers were meant for her two best friends.
There was another one on the way for her. She kept asking him why he would send flowers to her friends, but he didn’t respond. Finally, he blew up at her and said that he was just trying to do a nice thing.
When they were eight months into their relationship, they went to a music festival together. Some fashion journalists approached her and asked to take photos of her outfit. She agreed, but as she was getting her picture taken, she saw him glaring at her.
Riss didn’t want to keep living like this, so she tried to pack her bags and leave, but he convinced her to stay. They finished out the trip, and even said “I love you” for the first time. Back at home, he told her that he felt pressured by her.
She decided to wait and see how this man acted for the next couple of months. Two weeks later, he suggested that they move in together.
He wanted to look at townhouses with her. But then, he went to dinner with his friends one night and found out that she had hung out with Greg a year before.
“He was so betrayed, so humiliated, so disgusted that his heart was shattered, that he’s never felt this way in his life,” said Riss.
“He could not believe that I would not respect him enough to tell him that I hung out with Greg a year before we started dating.”
She was confused because she had only hung out with Greg once, and they hadn’t even kissed. He accused her of minimizing the situation and that she was not taking accountability.
He wouldn’t even talk to her on the phone because he claimed to be sick to his stomach. This went on for three and a half weeks.
Afterward, she realized that he must have another girlfriend. So, she looked through his social media. One girl’s profile stood out to her, so she messaged her. The girl immediately messaged her back and revealed that she had been seeing Riss’s boyfriend for about six months.
It turned out that he was hanging out with this girl before returning home to Riss instead of working late like he had claimed. The next night, Riss and her boyfriend went out to dinner to discuss this newfound information. Of course, they broke up.
One night, he came to her apartment unannounced. When she told him to leave, he started breathing heavily and stated that he had chest pain.
He went into the guest bathroom to splash water on his face and made a bunch of wheezing noises. It was clearly fake, and she could not take it seriously. She gave him a water bottle and asked if he needed an ambulance.
Finally, she called 911 because he wouldn’t leave her apartment. The paramedics arrived quickly, but he had magically calmed down. Everyone in the room knew that it was all a performance.
“I am so happy that this man is out of my life,” Riss stated. “I liked him a lot, and I finally saw him for who he truly was, and everything became crystal clear.”
