During her first year of college, TikToker @mucheelle was bullied in her calculus class. In this class, they had to work on assignments as groups. She was in a group of four, and they all got along pretty well at first.
For test assignments, they all needed to have the same answers. If someone had a wrong answer, the professor could choose that paper and give a bad grade to everyone in the group.
After about two weeks, she started to notice some animosity from the group, but she ignored it because she had a tendency to overthink stuff.
On the day of their first test, she noticed that two of the people in the group were not working with her and the other guy. When they asked them questions, they did not respond and completely shut them out.
TikToker @mucheelle and the other guy got the hint that they didn't want to work together. They finished their test and turned it in without consulting them, which was really irritating. She waited until the end of class to talk to the professor about her group.
"Honestly, to me, it's not fair that we try to work with them, and it was two of us versus the other people who have seven people [in their group], and all of them can help and put their brains together and work with each other," she said. "And because this class was a lot of group effort, I didn't want to be stuck in a group that didn't contribute and that didn't like me."
She asked the professor to let her switch groups, and he agreed. She got sent to a new table, but she felt like this group was also hostile toward her.
During the test, they didn't seem to want to work with her. They just gave her the answers because if they didn't, they would fail.
She had trouble understanding calculus and had tutoring sessions for four hours a day because she wanted to be able to do well and help the group.

One day, she walked into class and saw that her desk had been moved. She didn't think too much of it because other classes were held in that room, too.
She had a lot of the same classes with people in her calculus class, such as biology and chemistry. Her chemistry lab partner was in her calculus class, and he told her that the rest of the group had gotten to class early to move her desk so she wouldn't sit with them.
She wanted to cry because the first group already didn't like her, and now the second group was shutting her out as well. From then on, she had to sit by herself for a couple of weeks. Another group ended up adopting her, which was nice.
"Moral of the story is, you can get bullied literally anywhere," she stated. "I have never been bullied up until this point...My biggest thing is I feel like they just probably thought I wasn't smart enough, and that's why they acted that way toward me."
