When TikToker Rebecca (@unmuted.unapologetic) found out that her husband was having an affair, it was social media that helped her put the pieces together. According to her, social media will definitely give you away if you're having an affair.

Her husband made it seem like he had no time to spend with the family when the affair first started up. As time passed, Rebecca started tracking his whereabouts.

She realized that he was free on Monday mornings because she would drive to the nursing home where he said he was working, but she never saw his car there.

Then, she would drive to the restaurant where he also worked, and his car wasn't there either. She figured out that he spent time with his mistress on Tuesday evenings as well.

"I ended up going to this person's TikTok account after I figured out who she was, after she gave me confirmation that she had been having an affair with him for two years," Rebecca said.

"I went to her TikTok and saw a post that she had posted previously on a Tuesday evening."

The photo was of an Italian dinner that Rebecca's husband had made. When Rebecca saw that post, it really angered her because that was time he could've been spending with his own kids instead.

She used to beg her husband to interact with them more since his sudden disappearance from their lives was negatively affecting them. The kids wouldn't see him for weeks at a time.

Another telltale sign of his infidelity was his reluctance to participate in any family pictures that were going to be posted on social media.

At one point, she purposely tested him by tagging him in a bunch of Facebook posts. He never responded to them, but he would always respond to stuff that her sister or his family members posted.

"So, that's when I knew he was specifically avoiding commenting on any of my stuff because he didn't want somebody else to see that," Rebecca said.

The third big hint was when he came home wearing a neon green hoodie from Victoria's Secret. His excuse for that was that he had gotten cold and was borrowing his son's girlfriend's hoodie.

He had been using his son's car, and the hoodie was in there. It was a story that made no sense.

And, in a different post on the mistress's profile, she could be seen wearing that exact same hoodie. All the clues are on social media if you are paying attention to them.

In the comments section, many TikTok users described how social media has helped expose the actions of their cheating partners.

"My ex made a fake Facebook named Rusty Shackleford to reach out to old girlfriends and use Facebook dating, I guess. There was a whole log of it on his phone. Our divorce took one month, and I have never had a single regret about it," commented one user.

"Started noticing my ex liking pics of a coworker in a bikini, and he was the only one doing it. Everyone can see that. Totally inappropriate for a married man. Then found their messages in Messenger," shared another.

"There was this girl we both knew and followed on social media. I always found it weird that he followed her, too. But whatever. One day, she had posted herself at a Lululemon store at our nearby mall. Many months later, he came home with a gift card for me from there (I never once showed interest in that store or anything). In that moment, I knew," wrote a third.
