When TikToker Brittany (@brittanyybowen) was in college 10 years ago, her boyfriend at the time bent her phone, breaking it in a fit of rage, and she told everyone that it was the new iPhone Curve.

Her boyfriend was a football player at her university. During their relationship, he broke many of her phones. One time, they were on a break.

She was talking to someone else because by then, she was getting fed up with his behavior and knew they were never going to end up together.

He cheated on her multiple times, but was very possessive of Brittany and couldn’t stand seeing her with any other guy. He came over and knocked on her door.

Stupidly, she opened the door, and he proceeded to immediately rip her phone out of her hand and look through it. She had the rose gold iPhone 7. It was the third and final phone he broke.

When he saw her text conversation with another guy, he slammed her phone against his knee and bent it, trying to break it in half. He couldn’t break it, but the screen was shattered and was slightly detached from the phone itself. He handed it back to her and stormed off.

As a college student, Brittany could not afford another phone, and surprisingly, this one still worked, so she continued using it. Every time she pulled her phone out at the bars, people would ask her if her phone was bent.

Brittany would tell them that it was the new iPhone Curve. She claimed that a lot of people have been breaking their phones from keeping them in their back pockets, so Apple supposedly came out with the new iPhone Curve to combat this issue.

Everyone wanted the new phone and spread the word about it. Brittany and her roommate would walk away, holding in their laughter from the joke.

After all these years, Brittany’s dad had kept the iconic bent phone. Technology can always be replaced, but the stories we gain are priceless.

Nothing brings people together like shared trauma and shattered electronics. Many TikTok users quickly filled the comments section with their own stories about how their unhinged ex-boyfriends destroyed their property.

It just goes to show how many men need to learn to keep their anger in check.

“Mine broke mine in half, threw it at my windshield, and shattered my windshield,” commented one user.

“Three phones of mine have been broken this year…from two different men,” shared another.

“My ex threw my phone out of the car during an argument,” stated a third.

“Omg, my college boyfriend bent my laptop, and it curved just like this,” wrote a fourth.

“My ex smacked my iPhone against a wooden pole multiple times and got sooo mad it wouldn’t break,” added someone else.
