While most people were too busy prepping their dishes to look up at the sky on Thanksgiving Eve, TikToker @sassysouthernmouf was having a very different kind of holiday experience.
The night before Thanksgiving, she, her husband, and her friends all witnessed something strange floating above the field behind her house while they were outside enjoying a cozy bonfire, and it left them completely stunned.
“I’m going to share something with you all, and you’re going to think I’m crazy,” said @sassysouthernmouf.
“And I really, really hesitated sharing this with anybody, but it’s got me freaked out to the point where if I don’t share this with people on my platform, to hope and pray that they will come back with something that makes sense, something that resonates, or an experience that is similar to it.”
They saw orbs flying in a circle, weaving seamlessly around and in between each other. They would consistently disappear and then reappear.
At first, they thought it was a shooting star, but the pattern the orbs were following ruled that theory out. None of them could give a rational explanation as to what it could be.
Her spirit immediately became unsettled. Her gut screamed that what they were witnessing wasn’t normal. When she began praying, the orbs stopped and left.
Whether it was something spiritual, extraterrestrial, or evil, it shook her to her core.
Many TikTok users shared similar experiences in the comments section, proving she’s definitely not alone in this.

“Look up LIDAR scanners. I was driving one time when there was a LIDAR scan going on, and it crossed the road I was on, and I drove off the street and called my boyfriend, crying, I was being abducted. I could not make any other sense of it. Luckily, he’s in the AF and knew what I was describing,” commented one user.
“Happened to me, but I’m pretty sure it was a huge drone someone flew over to watch us. We had friends over, and we were all in the front yard, and our trees started moving like it was windy. Then, lights and a whirring. It stayed for a little while, then left,” wrote another.
“Upstate South Carolina here: last week, I was sitting on my deck after dark, and a light in the sky caught my eye above me to the left. I felt like I was being watched, and when I started filming it, it flew away. No sound. Freaked me out,” added a third.
“My son and I saw the exact same thing! I thought it might have been spotlights, but none were in the area. The orbs danced around each other, repeating the pattern. We later saw them far in the distance, which ruled out spotlights where they were first noticed,” shared someone else.
