Her First Date Took An Embarrassing Turn After A Dental Disaster Caused Her To Hiss Blood At The Guy

Going on dates is already nerve-wracking. Now add unexpected bodily fluids to the equation. TikToker Mikayla (@mickeyyyyg) recently shared what she calls the most mortifying experience of her life.

She is a 25-year-old elementary school teacher from Montreal. When she's not at work, she loves to hit up the newest trendy spots.

So, she went out with this guy to a wine bar—low lighting, good drinks, and a moody atmosphere. The only problem was that she had been dealing with some issues with her gums that week and was in a lot of pain.

But she powered through anyway. At first, the date was going well. Halfway through the conversation, they started to get a little flirtatious.

After a couple of rounds of drinks, she suddenly noticed something very wrong when she began to taste blood in her mouth. Her body had chosen the worst possible moment to malfunction. It was everyone's biggest fear while on a date.

Her gums were bleeding, and she could no longer speak because her mouth was filled with blood. Panicking, she excused herself and rushed to the restroom, hoping to contain the situation before it escalated any further.

"I'm hissing blood from my mouth; I'm like spitting into the toilet," Mikayla recalled.

"I don't know what to do. I'm getting the roll of toilet paper and packing it in there. I'm trying to do this fast because I don't want him to think that I'm doing something weird in the bathroom."

Unfortunately, blood had gotten everywhere, and she did her best to clean it up, thinking of the waitstaff. She rinsed out her mouth and smiled in the mirror repeatedly to check if all traces of the blood were gone.

Finally, she gathered herself, went back out there, and apologized for the delay, explaining as casually as possible that her mouth was a little sore because she had just gone to the dentist.

"Anyway, if he noticed, he was a perfect gentleman about it," Mikayla said.

"We went out again. It didn't really affect the situation, but it was disgusting, and it was a bloodbath, and I felt like I was in the Cornucopia in the Hunger Games."

Against all odds, the date did not end in disaster, despite how horrifying the experience was. Mikayla's dignity also survived. They continued seeing each other, and the incident did not become a dealbreaker.

She handled that dental horror show with grace. Sometimes, the most embarrassing moments of your life do not define the outcome.

Still, her story makes you more grateful that your own worst date involved nothing more than awkward small talk.
