While TikToker Nyjeri (@nyjeri) and her best friend were at the bar, they witnessed a married man on a date with someone else get tracked down by his wife.
So, they were enjoying the night at a hotel bar in Los Angeles, sipping on martinis and taking photos. Nyjeri and her friend were among the only people at the bar, except for this one couple.
The couple got up to sit at the far end of the bar. All of a sudden, a woman wearing sweats and a big, puffy jacket appeared. She approached the man on a date and ordered him to return home.
Nyjeri and her friend’s jaws dropped. Clearly, that woman must’ve been his wife. As he was being dragged away by his wife, the girl he was on a date with sat there, stunned.
Sensing how vulnerable and humiliating the moment must’ve felt, Nyjeri and her friend invited the girl over to chat.
The bartender and one random gentleman who happened to witness the action also came over to hear her story, creating an impromptu circle of support.
She told everyone that she met the guy at a bar, and they really hit it off. This had been their very first date. He had claimed to be divorced.
He had conveniently failed to mention that he was actually married with kids. During the date, he kept checking his phone and was acting kind of fishy. His wife must’ve known exactly where he was.
Then, the wife came back and asked the girl to give her all the details of how she met her husband. The wife explained that this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened.

They had recently signed a prenuptial agreement, stating that if he ever cheated on her again, she would get everything in the divorce.
The husband made a surprise reappearance and tried to grab and kiss the girl he was on a date with, right in front of his wife. Nyjeri’s best friend jumped into action, shoving him away and screaming for him to leave.
Security showed up to manage the situation. Nyjeri noticed five of the employees at the bar were bent over a small computer screen, watching the shocking scene unfold.
“Thank God that we were there because it would’ve been such a different experience if we did not witness it and just be there in support of the girl because that is such a crazy, and scary, and vulnerable position to be in,” Nyjeri said.
She still can’t get over what happened. It was the most outrageous thing she had ever witnessed. As wild as the story sounds, it’s just a brief glimpse into what the dating life in L.A. is like.
