When TikToker Rachel Griffin and her husband (@rachelkayphotography) arrived back at their house around 9 p.m., they immediately sensed something was off.
One of the contractors was still there. His truck was in the driveway, and his wife’s vehicle was parked next to it.
She and her husband looked at each other, hoping that their suspicions weren’t true. They sat in the driveway for a couple of minutes before gathering up the courage to open the garage door to announce their arrival.
They also threw around a bunch of metal items to make noise.
Then, they entered the house and found the couple inside, looking visibly flustered and uncomfortable. Their contractor was scrambling to put his sweatshirt back on, and his wife’s pants were actually undone.
So, their suspicions were confirmed. It didn’t take a detective to piece together what was going on here. Their contractor really was hooking up with his wife in the kitchen of their brand-new house at 9 p.m.
Clearly, he did not think Rachel and her husband would show up for another hour. The contractor and his wife made a swift, awkward exit, leaving behind the stunned homeowners.
Rachel and her husband cycled through a rollercoaster of emotions in just a matter of minutes. They were speechless, angry, and upset, but also couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief at the situation.
They were also uncomfortable and unsure of what to do next.

Plenty of TikTok users had their opinions about what she should do. Their answers ranged from letting the whole thing slide to recording everything for proof.
They even advised her to take advantage of the opportunity to get a hefty discount or a free deep cleaning for her new home. Others shared similar discoveries they made in their own homes.
“I couldn’t wait to use my 10-jet jacuzzi bathtub for the very first time. I chose to run a cleaner through the jets first to remove construction dust. Out came a very long black hair. The same type of hair as our contractor’s wife,” commented one user.
“Well, as a realtor, if I were ever caught doing this in a listing or while showing a property, I’m pretty sure I would lose my license, lol, but I’m thinking they will never do this again after being caught, so it’s your call if you do something or not,” wrote another.
“I came in to a toddler sleeping in a pack-and-play and an eight-month pregnant woman grouting my tile! Red juice had been spilled on my new carpet, too!!! They were all asked to leave and not come back!” exclaimed a third.
