A few months after TikToker Nik (@nikkinakattack) and her ex-boyfriend broke up, she found out that he got married. After doing some digging, she realized that he had definitely been in a relationship with this other woman and was possibly engaged while he was still with Nik.

They had dated a long time ago. They stopped talking on January 24, 2020, and she met her current boyfriend the very next day. Back in 2017, she met a guy through social media.

They had a lot in common. They were both powerlifters, had the same sense of humor, and liked the same types of movies. He recommended that she listen to a podcast, and she really liked it.

After a couple of months, they stopped talking. A few weeks later, she received a message from a burner account, claiming that they were one of the hosts of the podcast. He asked to video chat with her, and they continued doing that for three to four nights a week.

He was living in California, and she was in Louisiana. After a few months, he flew out to visit her. From there, they started a long-distance relationship.

They talked about moving to Texas together. He seemed weirdly disconnected from family and preferred to do all their text messaging through an encrypted messaging app because he was a very private person.

He also had a bunch of burner accounts on different social media platforms and had wiped all his personal information from the internet.

One night, her instincts told her to look through his following list on social media. He was engaging with a lot of girls, but she didn’t think much of it because the communication was all related to his podcast.

He got busy with his podcast and stopped communicating with her regularly. Then, he ghosted her in April and deleted the burner account he contacted her on.

She didn’t hear from him for several months. Finally, in September, he called her and told her that he had moved from California to Washington, D.C.

She asked him a lot of questions about why he had moved and why he had ghosted her, but he didn’t really answer any of them. He just started telling her that he loved her.

The last time they talked was on January 24, 2020, after a loved one of hers passed away. They got into a fight because he couldn’t seem to understand why she cared so much about people who were not her direct family members.

Six years later, she kept seeing random social media accounts pop up. She ended up finding her ex-boyfriend’s account. She Googled him and found addresses and names of his family members.

There was one name she didn’t recognize. It was a woman’s name.

After doing some research, Nik put two and two together. He had been dating this woman at the same time he was dating Nik. They had certainly been dating for quite a while for them to get married just a few weeks after the breakup with Nik.

“They have to drive right by my office every day to get into the city, like that is the only option,” said Nik. “And I just, I don’t know; I thought that was funny.”
