Recently, TikToker Breeann (@breeannalario) was fired by her hairstylist in what she claims was the meanest way. However, people online had very different thoughts about it and speculated that there must be more to the story.
So, Breann’s former hairstylist sent her a text at 8 p.m., saying, “Hi, I’ve really enjoyed our time together, but I don’t think I’d like to take you on as a client any longer.”
She didn’t see the text until 10 p.m. She was really rattled by how he essentially fired her instead of saying that he was moving or was too busy and needed to cut down his client list.
“I’ve been with this guy for six years,” said Breeann. “I feel like I’ve been broken up with, and I’ve been broken up with before, and I don’t think anyone has ever said something this mean.”
Now, she’s looking for a new hairstylist based in Orange County who specializes in brunettes.
In the comments section, many TikTok users criticized the way she handled the situation and took the hairstylist’s side, pointing out that he wasn’t being mean at all.
“Hairstylist of 15 years here. So, this is actually wild. He did this privately, and you’re taking it to the public. He has his reason, I’m sure, and I feel like it’s safe to assume that his reason is very valid. His message wasn’t even mean,” commented one user.
“A) He was perfectly polite. B) He didn’t owe you an explanation at all. C) Someone telling you no or setting a boundary with you does not automatically qualify them as mean,” wrote another.
“The fact that you are talking about how mean his text was (it wasn’t) is really telling. 8 p.m. is not that late. He can’t control the fact that you saw it two hours after it was sent,” added a third.

In a follow-up video, Breann shared an update on the situation. After going to the gym and getting feedback from her friends the next day, she finally came up with the perfect response and is waiting for a reply.
Most people don’t think the hairstylist will respond or that he already responded, but she’s refusing to post the reply.
What do you think? Is she in the wrong? Or was the hairstylist being mean?
