After showing a house that was listed at $40k under market value, TikToker and realtor Betsy Bissonette (@betsybissonette) now knows why it hasn’t sold. The house turned out to be haunted.

It was a beautiful farmhouse with three bedrooms and two bathrooms on an acre of land. It has the original floors and woodworking, which is over 100 years old. The kitchen is also updated. So, at first, Betsy was confused why no one had snatched it up yet.

When she went to show the house to a client, everything seemed normal until they headed down to the basement. At the fifth stair, she suddenly got the chills. The temperature had dropped at least 10 degrees, and she got the strong feeling that someone or something was watching her.

Nevertheless, she continued on because she was a professional. To her left, there was a large china cabinet containing ancient collectible china dolls.

A bunch of the dolls were cracked and broken, and they looked like they were possessed. Betsy and her client ran back upstairs in fear. Clearly, her client would not be putting in an offer on the house.

Afterward, she called the listing agent to give them some feedback. She recommended that the sellers remove their personal belongings from the basement.

The listing agent told her that the sellers really felt the china dolls belonged with the house.

“So, yeah, that is 100% a haunted house and needs to be exorcised,” said Betsy. “A really fun fact about real estate is you do not have to disclose haunted houses. You only have to disclose if someone was murdered on the property.”

Many TikTok users shared their own freaky experiences with haunted houses in the comments section.

“We went to look at a house that was built in the late 1800s. However, the realtor showed up with a Bible, refused to go into the basement, and stuck to our side like glue. Then, she made my husband go back into the house with her to turn a light off. She refused to answer when we asked if it was haunted,” commented one user.

“My real estate agent told me to sage my house after I bought it. Also, every dog sitter/house sitter has told me my house is haunted without me mentioning anything,” chimed in another.

“I’m a real estate photographer, and once, I was in an empty house and got to the basement door, and could not open the door. I am generally not scared, but my body would not let me open the door. I had to call my twin sister, who is a realtor, and she had to come help me!! I’ve never felt something so strongly!” exclaimed a third.
