A few weeks ago, TikToker Sarah Pulley (@sawahpee) received a call from her neighbor, letting her know that his wife was cheating on him. She has no idea how he even got her phone number.
Sarah met the neighbor’s wife at the park one day. They were both stay-at-home moms with kids around the same age. Their kids hit it off, so they exchanged phone numbers to arrange meetups at the park once a month.
One day, Sarah was trying to get rid of an old bed. She texted her neighbor, asking if she wanted the bed. She said yes, so Sarah brought the bed next door.
Before she left, her neighbor blurted out that she needed her to FaceTime her husband. She then introduced Sarah as a neighbor. Her husband worked away from home and would return about once a week, if that.
At the time, Sarah didn’t think much of the interaction. She figured that her neighbor’s husband was just concerned for her safety and didn’t want her inviting strangers into the home.
Later, Sarah invited her to her son’s birthday party. She stayed for quite a while and even mingled with the other moms at the party. Everyone liked her, and she ended up staying until 9:30 p.m.
After the party, Sarah received a text message from a number she didn’t recognize. It turned out to be her neighbor’s husband. He had been trying to reach his wife and assumed that she was at Sarah’s house. She told him that his wife had already left.
The next day, Sarah was taking a nap with her kids when her phone started ringing. She ignored the call because she was in the middle of a nap. But then, she received another call and text message.
When she checked her phone, she saw that her neighbor’s husband was trying to contact her. She thought it must be urgent, so she answered the phone. He asked her if there was anyone in her family named Matt. She told him that she didn’t know anyone named Matt.

He proceeded to tell her that his wife was cheating on him. He has voice recorders in the garage, bedroom, kitchen, and his children’s bedrooms.
He heard moaning in the bedroom and in his kids’ bedrooms, so he thought that his kids must be imitating the sounds they’re hearing.
“I actually just want to stay out of the drama completely,” said Sarah. “I just don’t feel like I should be in the middle of this situation.”
“But also, I’m going to see this woman at the park. We meet each other all the time at the park. So, do I just not mention that her husband has reached out to me multiple times, or do I say something?”
