When TikToker Larissa (@rissy_roo_) was a teenager, she narrowly avoided danger by listening to her intuition. She was visiting a college town where a young woman had gone missing the year before.
To this day, she has never been found. Years later, another female went missing in the same town. Her body was found.
So, Larissa was in town at the grocery store one day and noticed that there was a beat-up maroon pickup truck parked in front of her.
She saw a shovel in the backseat, which she thought was strange. A man was sitting in the truck with his window rolled down. He was wearing a straw hat and a sleeveless shirt. She saw him walk into the grocery store.
When Larissa walked back out into the parking lot after shopping, she realized that the truck was now parked right next to her. At some point, he must have come back outside and moved his vehicle.
He had backed into the parking spot so that his driver’s side door was next to her driver’s side door.
He was in the truck, just staring at her. She was freaked out, and her intuition told her not to get any closer to her car. She went back inside the store and asked the customer service desk to have an employee escort her out.
As she was being escorted out by a male employee, the guy in the truck spotted them and sped off. The male employee was glad that she returned to the store for help because that guy was clearly up to no good.
Another time, when she was 16 years old, she went to the library and had to run back out to her car to grab money to pay a late fee.

While she was walking out of the library, she realized someone was behind her. By the time she reached the parking lot, the man had caught up to her and tried to talk to her about the weather.
She started walking faster, but the man also picked up his pace. A voice in her head told her to run, so she sprinted to her car, jumped in, and locked the doors.
The man walked around the front of her car, stood there, and stared at her. Finally, he walked away to the opposite side of the parking lot.
The moral of the story is to be mindful, observant, and trust your gut. In the comments section, several TikTok users shared similar scary stories.
“My cousin and I were staying in a hotel for a concert. We were on an elevator, and a man got on. He didn’t push any buttons, didn’t look to see if his floor was pressed, and didn’t say a word. When we got off on our floor, we both ran in the opposite direction of our room and back down to the lobby without discussing it. We just knew not to go there,” commented one user.
“I was followed on a walking trail once when I was a high schooler. I had my dog with me. I went to turn around, and I saw a guy behind me. Thankfully, I knew the trail well, and I knew a spot where it came out by a local store with lots of people. The guy followed me all the way. I remember I stood in the store parking lot to see if he would come out to the store, and he never did,” wrote another.
“I had something like that happen to me when I was a teenager. Had a car come up to me while I was biking and asked if I wanted a ride. I said no, and he slowly drove away. Needless to say, I booked it home after that,” added a third.
