When TikToker Jordan (@jordsashleiigh) and her family first moved into their house, one of the neighbors told her that if she started “knocking down walls” or had a new baby, the previous owners of the house would show up.
Jordan and her husband are currently in the middle of a home renovation, and they have a three-month-old baby. They have been experiencing a lot of spiritual activity, particularly her husband.
She often gets the feeling that someone is staring at her, but she refuses to turn her head to look.
“So, the hotspot in my house is the hallway, which is really weird because it’s pretty much the smallest space, but it’s also the most original space,” said Jordan. “First of all, the hallway is freezing cold, and you can never get it warm. Ever.”
She has also heard footsteps running up and down the stairs countless times. The footsteps sounded more animal than human. A couple of nights ago, her husband tripped on nothing while coming down the stairs.
He didn’t fall, but he felt warm air around his feet. At first, he thought it was their dog, but the dog wasn’t there. A week later, he reported feeling something jump at his knees at the stairs, which made him fall down two of the steps.
There are even times when it sounds like someone is rattling the door handle. It freaks out Jordan and her husband every time, thinking that an intruder is attempting to get into their house.
A couple of days ago, her husband was out running errands. He went to his car, but forgot something in the house. When he came back to the house, he looked through the glass panes on the front door and saw a silhouette standing on the other side.
He thought it was Jordan and expected her to open the door, but of course, she didn’t because it wasn’t her.

When he moved, he saw a reflection, but it was delayed. He came into the house and started questioning Jordan repeatedly. Confused, she told him that she had been feeding the baby.
“Also, every time we walk by our son’s bedroom, we are adamant that somebody sat in the armchair,” said Jordan.
“Now, that armchair is really sentimental to me because that was my Gran’s armchair, and I know that my Gran would never do anything to scare me, and I don’t want to get rid of the armchair, but that armchair being in that bedroom, I don’t like it.”
Several TikTok users shared their own experiences with ghosts in the comments section.
“I grew up in a haunted house. When things got a bit too active, we spoke out loud and asked him to calm down a bit because we were scared and needed to sleep because we had school in the morning. Things calmed down, and sometimes nothing would happen for months,” commented one user.
“Just because there are spirits there doesn’t mean they’re bad. We also need to remember that they lived in our homes a long time before we did. This is their space as much as it’s ours. I live in a converted Victorian boarding school, and I’ve seen and heard a few things,” wrote another.
“My two-year-old kept saying there was a man in our house after we moved in, just after renovating. Things would get knocked over, and my son would say it was ‘the man.’ We told him to go away because it’s our house now, and he never mentioned the man again,” added a third.
