If your spouse told you that they actually believe that women should not have the right to vote, would it make you want to file for divorce?

This woman has been with her husband for the last five years, and two years ago, they tied the knot. She always thought that they were politically compatible, though she does identify as more of a Democrat than her husband does.

They have never argued about their political beliefs, and her husband has always been wonderful to her, which is why she's left reeling over something her husband said in front of his own teen daughter.

"Well, last night we were talking about the Lindsay Clancy trial, and he made a comment about how it’s disgusting that they called for a mistrial and said, 'this is why women shouldn’t be jurors,'" she explained.

"My 13-year-old stepdaughter piped up and said how that’s not right to say, and he responded that if he was president, he would not allow women to vote because they are too emotional and 'crazy' these days. I am FUMING, and I haven’t really spoken to him since."

"I do everything in this marriage. I cook, clean, take care of investments, student loans, bills, kids, I work full time, vehicles… the man has 0 responsibilities. It made me feel unappreciated and degraded as a woman, and as the woman who does 100% of everything for our home and family and HIM."

She just cannot believe that her husband genuinely thinks women shouldn't have the ability to vote, like they're second-class citizens.

This has truly changed how she feels about her husband, and she's left wondering if that makes her a drama queen.

I mean, her husband is obviously not who she thought he was, and how poisonous to her stepdaughter that he has such a toxic view.

Also, he definitely takes her and her hard work for granted. She's doing so much for him; he doesn't have to worry about a thing, and on top of it, he doesn't value women at all. Gross. I would be running to the nearest divorce lawyer if I were her.
