A 26-year-old woman has been in a relationship with her 32-year-old boyfriend for 2 months now, and after only a month of dating her boyfriend, they moved to be exclusive.

Although she and her boyfriend haven’t been together for that long, she feels extremely close to him since they spend 3 or 4 days a week with one another.

A couple of weeks into seeing her boyfriend, she learned that he was interacting with other women on a dating app, and when she confronted him, he agreed to be exclusive.

That’s really the only bump that they have had in the road so far, and she really does think she has so much in common with her boyfriend.

Since becoming exclusive, she feels that being with her boyfriend has been nothing but “amazing.”

“But tonight something happened that makes me question our relationship entirely,” she explained.

“My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend together and this evening we decided to stay in and I cooked him dinner.”

“After dinner, I went to take a bath and he was finishing up some work. About 15 minutes into my bath, he came into the bathroom and tells me he needs to go home because he has some things he needs to get done.”

She thought this was really odd, and she had no clue why her boyfriend was leaving so early, especially since he frequently sleeps over.

She decided to get out of the bath and see what was really going on. She could instantly tell that there was something off, and her boyfriend then wanted to know why she even liked him in the first place.

He also asked if she was seeing other guys, and she was shocked. She wasn’t seeing anyone else, and she wasn’t sure where this was all coming from.

“He then tells me that he shouldn’t have done this, but while he was LOOKING FOR A PEN, he found my journal and read it,” she said.

“My journal has intimate details about a past relationship in 2019. We talked about it for an hour and he kept saying he doesn’t know if I’m ready for a relationship or if he could ever measure up or if I even love him.”

“I asked why he would feel that way since I’ve been so committed to him and our relationship and done nothing to make him question how invested I am.”

She also told her boyfriend that she no longer has any feelings for her ex, even though she wrote about him, and she isn’t interested in getting back together with this guy or leaving her boyfriend for him.

Although she did her best to make her boyfriend feel better, he wanted to go home and “sleep on” their relationship.

She feels blindsided and she’s wondering if this is just a big old red flag.

“On one hand, I feel gaslit—I’m upset he invaded my privacy and flipped the narrative to make me feel like I’m not over my past relationship or ready for a new one,” she continued.

“On the other hand, I love him, want to be with him, and don’t want him to question me or my intentions with him.”

Do you think it’s a red flag that he invaded her privacy like this?
