His Pregnant Wife Couldn’t Make It To The Bathroom And Ended Up Having An Accident, But He Refused To Help Her Clean It Up
About a year ago, this twenty-eight-year-old man got married to his wife, Dani. Then, very soon after tying the knot, they became pregnant– which both he and Dani were very happy about.
So, immediately after finding out the good news, he began working some extra hours in order to save up for when the baby was born.
This means that he gets up a bit earlier every morning, leaving at about 6:00 a.m., and gets home later than usual.
And due to this longer work schedule, he admits to feeling pretty exhausted by the end of the evening.
Nonetheless, he claims to still help out Dani– who is now in her third trimester and on pregnancy leave.
“I still contribute to the house by doing dishes, cleaning up after the cat because she can’t, that kind of stuff,” he explained.
“This new routine has been hard on both of us, but we have made it work, and so far, everything has been fine.”
Well, that was until the other day when he woke up and found Dani crying after she had an accident.
Apparently, this accident stems back to the fact that they only have one bathroom in their home– which is on the downstairs level. And lately, Dani has been having a difficult time going up and down the stairs.

In the past, she had made the trip down the stairs work one way or another. But this particular day, she could not make it to the bathroom.
So, when he walked downstairs, he ultimately found his wife in tears and standing in her own mess.
Now, he claims to have immediately felt sorry for Dani and attempted to comfort her. He told her that it was okay, that the accident could have happened to anyone, and that she should just clean it up and go back to bed.
At that moment, though, his wife asked if he could help her clean it. And shockingly, he said no.
“I told her that that made me uncomfortable, and I would never expect anyone to clean up after my mess,” he revealed.
Apparently, he also admitted that he had experienced his own accidents in the past after having a few too many beers.
However, he claims that he always cleaned up his mess by himself and that it would have felt weird to ask Dani for help in that situation.
His wife, though, did not feel the same way that he did. Instead, she became really mad and called him insensitive for expecting her to clean up the mess during an already embarrassing situation.
Still, he did not want to touch the pee and reportedly proposed a compromise. More specifically, if Dani cleaned up the mess, he said that he would grab her some clean pajamas– since he had just done the laundry anyway.
That compromise still did not fly with his wife, though, and Dani ended up asking if he was going to act like that when their new baby inevitably had accidents and made a mess. According to him, though, a baby is different.
“I told her I would be perfectly okay to clean up after the baby since it cannot clean up after itself,” he recalled.
Then, he actually had the nerve to tell Dani that he did not have time to “stand there arguing” all night when he had to get up and work three hours later to “provide for the family.” So, he proceeded to walk upstairs, get her some pajamas, and go back to bed without helping his pregnant wife.
After waking up the following morning, though, he wound up finding his wife still downstairs on the couch. And honestly, Dani was still really upset.
Apparently, his wife barely slept that night and told him that she felt horrible about how he treated her. Dani also called him a total jerk and claimed that by not helping her out, he only made the situation even more embarrassing.
Finally, she revealed that she did not even want to be around him anymore until he got his priorities in order. So, Dani ended up leaving to go stay at her mother’s house.
Anyway, since his wife left, he has been forced to reflect on the whole situation. He also apparently spoke with some coworkers about what happened and had been getting mixed reviews about how he handled the situation.
So now, with his pregnant wife gone, he has been left wondering if asking Dani to clean up her own accident makes him a total jerk or not.
