Her Boyfriend Is Furious With Her For Hanging Out With Some People Her Own Age At The Beach While On A Family Vacation

This girl and her boyfriend have been dating for a little more than a year. She’s very outgoing and loves meeting new people.
That being said, she really hates to be alone, and it’s kind of traumatic for her. Currently, she’s on vacation with her family, and her cousin actually went to their exact destination a year ago.
While her cousin was there, he ended up making some friends their own age.
“It’s been raining for the past three days, meaning I didn’t really have the chance to go out,” she explained.
“I sent messages to my boyfriend telling him how much I was bored and complaining, and I also cried about the fact that these vacations are nothing like I expected them to be. I was really lonely and depressed by the weather.”
Finally, the weather cleared up, and the sun came out, so she and her family headed to the beach. They all ended up sitting close to a group of people her own age, and her dad was cracking some jokes with them.
They all started playing volleyball together, and after their day was done and they returned back to where they were staying, she messaged her cousin to ask if she happened to have run into the friends he had made last year.
It turns out that the people she was playing volleyball with earlier that day were indeed the friends her cousin had made.
He then gave her the social media profile of one of the guys, so she reached out to this guy to explain that she had played volleyball with him and his friends that day and that he had also met her cousin last year.

“The guy quickly asked me if I would like to go out with all the group that night, and I obviously said yes,” she said.
“It’s not like we would go out clubbing or even in a bar, just a meet-up at the beach, something really chill.”
She told her boyfriend about her plans, and he was furious with her. He said if she did go hang out with these people at the beach, he would spend the next week ignoring her completely.
She questioned her boyfriend about what was upsetting him, and he said it was not ok for her to hang out with some guys that she had just met, even though she’s not only hanging out with guys; there are a ton of girls in this friend group.
She didn’t let her boyfriend ruin her plans. She hung out with these people at the beach regardless of his feelings.
“At the beach, I get to know the group, and I told them straight away that I’m in a relationship so there wouldn’t be any confusion,” she explained.
“We had a really fun evening. When I went back to the place I’m staying at, my boyfriend said the same thing again, and even after an hour of talking, he wasn’t changing his mind. I literally just want to enjoy my vacation with people my age, is that so bad? We didn’t come to any conclusion, and he said that the only solution was for me to block them and don’t see them again, or we wouldn’t talk for the rest of my vacation, but I don’t want to go back to the horrible state of loneliness I was in.”
She did attempt to tell her boyfriend how she felt, and he replied that she’s clearly not able to be in an actual relationship since she isn’t willing to compromise or, rather, do what he says. She doesn’t see how she’s wrong, but she’s still curious if her boyfriend has a valid point.
