This 24-year-old man used to be best friends with a guy named Steven, who is also 24. But, their friendship completely ended after Steven did the unthinkable.

Apparently, his girlfriend cheated on him and hooked up with Steven instead. So, he’s never been able to look at his former best friend the same way again.

Unfortunately, though, he does still have to see Steven from time to time.

“Because we share a mutual friend group,” he explained.

And now that he is in the middle of planning his wedding, the topic of his guest list has started to stir up some serious drama.

For some context, his fiancé is 26-years-old, and they will be tying the knot in April. So, they have already sent out their wedding invitations and invited everyone with whom they have a close relationship– including his and Steven’s mutual friend group.

But, he did not invite Steven along with the rest of the group, and just two days ago, his former friend actually reached out about it.

Apparently, Steven sent him a text asking about receiving an invitation to the wedding.

“And I just send Steven a laughing emoji,” he recalled.

Well, after that, his former best friend just became super offended and began totally blowing up his phone– calling him out for still holding onto resentment. Steven even claimed that he needed to forget what happened and move on since they are “technically family.”

Still, in his mind, he could never forgive Steven– especially because Steven is actually still dating his ex-girlfriend after breaking up their relationship!

Thankfully, his parents and relatives also agree with him and believe he shouldn’t invite Steven. They’re even worried that his former friend might try to “pull something” on his big day.

However, the rest of his friend group was divided, and four friends actually took Steven’s side.

“They think I should just let bygones be bygones and invite Steven to keep the peace,” he vented.

So now, he can’t help but wonder if refusing to invite his former best friend to his wedding is really a jerky move or not.

Would you want a friend who betrayed you like that at your wedding? Do you think he should invite Steven or not? What would you do?
