She Was Browsing Zillow When She Saw A Ghost In The Window Of A House For Sale

Scrolling Zillow is a modern-day pastime. Sometimes, you find dream homes, and sometimes, you come across some fixer-uppers.

Every now and then, you might stumble upon something a little more otherworldly.

While TikToker @thechaseallen3 was browsing through Zillow in July, she came across a haunted house for sale in Statesville, North Carolina.

Of course, the listing did not describe the house as haunted, but when she took a closer look at the pictures, she noticed something out of the ordinary.

The size of the house was 1,500 square feet. It had three bedrooms, one bathroom, and the property consisted of over two acres of land.

The listing price for the house was $160,000. The front door and other areas of the house looked like they needed some work, but overall, it wasn't too shabby.

But then, she noticed something in the window, and it appeared to be a ghost. The real estate agent confirmed that it was not a person and that the home had been on the market for a while. No one had been in the house when the photos were taken.

"I guess it comes with an extra occupant; I don't know," said @thechaseallen3. "This isn't a stunt. This isn't someone else peeking out...So, if you're looking for some place that has a spiritual occupant, there you go, North Carolina."

People wasted no time weighing in on the mysterious figure in the comments section. Most were in agreement that the ghostly being was an old grandmotherly type keeping an eye on her home.

"Statesville is full of history, historical homes and buildings, battlefields, and previous occupation linger all over that area. Granny is wondering who is taking pictures of her house," wrote one user.

"It looks like Granny wearing her apron, looking to see if Johnny was home from the war yet. When she passed, she'd been waiting 20 years," commented another.

"Could be one of the people who lived there in the past and passed away at home. Could be years ago. Looks like an old lady," declared a third.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, it's not every day that you find a house with a long-term resident already in it.
