HBO’s “The White Lotus” continues to resonate with viewers for a reason: it’s chock-full of beautiful backdrops, intriguing Easter eggs, and, of course, a ton of twisted drama.

But in addition to sparking some wanderlust among audiences, the series can also serve as inspiration for your cat.

Here Are 8 Cat Names Inspired By “The White Lotus”

From Maui to Sicily and, most recently, Thailand, “The White Lotus” has introduced fans to diverse characters, locales, and cultures that might be fitting for your feline friend. So, we’ve compiled the best cat names inspired by the dark comedy.

1. Tanya

We obviously needed to start with Tanya, portrayed by none other than the icon herself: Jennifer Coolidge. The OG character from Seasons 1 and 2 definitely feels a lot of strong emotions, but her flair for the dramatic (and style) is what made us fall in love with her so much.

Russian in origin, the name Tanya means “honorable.” It would make sense for a cat that’s loyal to a fault (and a bit of an empath).

2. Limoncello

While not a character name, the Italian lemon liqueur would be a fashionable nod to Season 2 of “The White Lotus.”

Bright yellow in color and refreshing in taste, Limoncello hails from southern Italy and could be a cute moniker for a tabby cat who appreciates the luxurious things in life.

3. Piper

Do you have a female cat who’s curious and craves adventure? Draw inspiration from Piper Ratliff, the college student from Season 3 who convinced her whole family to travel to Thailand based on a lie about her thesis.

We realize that Piper ultimately decided not to stay and pursue a more spiritual life at the monastery after all. Even so, her name is short, sweet, and could totally fit an inquisitive cat.

4. Saxon

Speaking of Season 3, Saxon Ratliff is another character with a unique name who experienced a more meaningful transformation.

He went from being superficial to (gasp) gaining a soul? Perhaps if you’ve rescued a cat or have a feline that’s more in touch with his softer side, Saxon would be an adorable namesake.

5. Portia

We all felt bad for Tanya’s assistant, Portia, in Season 2 of “The White Lotus.” She gets dragged into all sorts of situations that are out of her control, but she maintains good intentions despite it all.

Her feminine moniker also has Latin roots and deep historical ties, having shown up in multiple Shakespearean plays.

6. Albie

Remember the sweet son named Albie from Season 2? The Stanford grad traveled to Sicily with his dad and grandfather to learn more about his heritage and wound up losing a ton of money to Lucia.

Despite the fact that he got swindled, his name, which means “noble” and “bright,” is ideal for an innocent and lovable cat.

7. Olivia

Olivia was already a pretty popular name for babies, but Sydney Sweeney’s portrayal of the privileged college student vacationing with her family in Season 1 pushed the name to even greater heights.

Whether you love the actress or not, you can’t deny that the moniker is cute for humans and pets alike. It means “olive tree” and has been a symbol of harmony and peace in various cultures.

8. Rick

Last but certainly not least is Rick, played by the iconic Walton Goggins. His character was both painful and pivotal in Season 3, and the brooding that began in the very first episode resulted in a whirlwind finale that left fans reeling.

If you have a more mysterious, aloof, or seemingly introspective male cat, the name Rick couldn’t be more appropriate.
